Clue 2 done! … but…
So clue 2 is officially done and I’m loving it! But, I noticed that my tension was quite off with some of the longer floating sections of color work, so it’s kinda a mess. I’m so torn. Do I continue and hope blocking fixes it, or do I frog and restart, maybe going up a needle size in the section in question. I don’t have a lot of time off work, so it would put me way behind to restart now, but also it might be the best to do it now before I get too far into it and realize I hate it. It’s still very close to gauge, but it does noticeably scrunch in in that section, even though there are increases…. Idk. I’ll probably just frog it and cut my losses now and hurry to catch back up. Also, does anyone else keep a knitting journal? I love it as I don’t have a printer and I like a physical copy of color work charts as I like being able to cover up the chart I haven’t gotten to yet and I like having just what I’m working on written down without any other size details or extras as it slows me down in my workflow

I think perhaps the fact you’re voicing your dissatisfaction with what you’ve got so far is a strong indicator to frog it and re knit. You’re not going to become happier leaving it I think. From my own experience with other projects (single colour patterned work) I always end up taking it back, better sooner than later 🤷🏻‍♀️ ultimately though, it’s your shout. 🙂
Clue 2 done!
Clue 2 done and dusted! I'm so happy with it so far (even though I have apparently been carrying my colours incorrectly😅), can't wait to see what clue 3 brings! 🥰 I'm knitting with @malabrigoyarn Rios in Syrah Grapes and Natural and @miroyarns 10ply merino in Space Cadet

@Sophie Bell we always called my horses the ‘neds’. Bit of a Sheffield saying 😁 I used to have four. Sorry I should have been less colloquial 🤦🏻‍♀️
You guys... 😭
I have been feasting my eyes on Clue 2 WIPs here. There have been so many gorgeous ones, I've spent the last hour putting together a collage. This is only half of the ones posted here on skool... but they all take my breath away. So many fantastic and stunning projects! ❤️

My first colourwork attempt
Using colours left over from a sweater made for my son. Not my favourite but ok for learning colourwork. 😊

@Deb Hall thank you. It’s colours my son chose for his sweater I knitted. But it was for stripes not proper colourwork like this. 😊

@Zanete Hussain oh thank you. 🙏🏻 that’s really cheered me up. I’ve spent Hours studying YouTube vids on how to maintain tension. I’ve been knitting for many years but never tried colourwork before. Always felt a bit overwhelming but using left over wool is the best way to start I think. This knit along is also great as I am stalking everyone’s pictures too !😜
