Why most contractors stay busy but not profitable.
I see a lot of contractors investing in new tools, software, and systems, which makes sense. But here’s the uncomfortable truth: More tools don’t automatically save time or increase profit. Most contracting businesses struggle because the real bottleneck isn’t equipment or apps, it’s unclear priorities and decision making. When you don’t know which jobs, processes, or expenses actually create profit, the business stays busy but fragile. Before buying another tool or changing systems, ask yourself: Which part of my business right now is costing me the most time or money? If that’s unclear, no tool will fix it. If you want help identifying where your real leverage is, what to fix first and what to ignore. DM me ‘CLARITY’ and I’ll help you map it out.

A question for everyone building this year
Happy New Year everyone 🎉 Wishing you clarity, growth, and real progress this year. As we step into a new year, I’ve been thinking about something that affects almost everyone building or growing anything online business, projects, or personal brands. A lot of people are actually doing something right: - they get interest - they get messages or sign-ups - people ask questions - traffic comes in But somewhere along the way, momentum drops. Not always because the idea is bad. Not always because effort is lacking. Sometimes it’s just unclear systems, follow-up gaps, or not knowing what to fix first. So I’m curious 👇What’s been one roadblock for you recently when it comes to growth, consistency, or converting interest into results? I’m happy to share thoughts or suggestions where I can, and I’d also love to learn from others here. Let’s make this year intentional 🚀

@Theis Riiber what has been your roadblock in this season?
If you feel stuck… this is for you.
We’re in the final month of the year, so I’m curious 👇 What’s the one thing that held your business back this year? Clients? Clarity? Consistency? Systems? Something unexpected? I’m asking because many entrepreneurs are facing similar blocks, and I want to make sure we all share ideas together. But first What’s the main roadblock you faced in 2025?

@Mike Stal How do you intend to overcome that? It's a new year already you have to do something about it.

@Mike Stal And how is the outcome?
Realization
Today I was thinking about how many ups and downs construction really has. Even after a rough September dealing with complaints and losing money on a few jobs, I reminded myself that with the right plan of action, you’ll always bounce back. I damn near broke even last month, but in the last 7 working days we fired off on a few smaller projects and pulled in almost $15k in profit. My focus right now is to keep October solid and make up for what September took out. Construction is full blown roller coaster, but after 7 years in the game, I can say the ups have definitely outweighed the downs.

@Sean Dronek That is the good side of the story that after everything the ups is more than the down time. What business workflow do you use for your business?
