Hello there. I’m sure others will bring up super powerful points.. but just take what I just learnt already. You’ve built a lot now and you know you have the confidence to do more workflows. Now you want to get paid. Don’t do what I did and try to convince people of your skill set, instead focus on problem solving. It’s all a quiet game of “what is the pain point this person has, and how can I solve it?”. As far as where to get clients, what helped me was a combination of upwork + a network of warm leads + personal out reach in communities (like this one). but it’s not about the source , it’s about your approach. You want to be the guy in their mind that solves problems, not just about building nodes together. so go to your chosen sources, initiate a conversation or two (casually not salesy), and then get to know them. Most people that try to get clients skip the step of actually immersing themselves in the lives of their clients, so spotting the problem becomes harder coz you’re not in their shoes. So here’s what I’d do: 1: give yourself 2 months. No rushing, no trying to circle into other seemingly faster means of client hunting you saw on a YouTube video. Just do it right. Next thing is a combination of setting up your upwork account. Optimise your profile with your already built projects, and then start bidding. Always gear around the problem remember. Also start speaking to people in a select niche. When you choose a niche, you can live in their shoes long enough to actually see what they hate. Eg staying long enough with healthcare providers could show you that they hate using a certain crm since it lacks XYZ features. When you find the pain point, that’s your offer. Don’t want this too long but hope you get my angle with this. Good luck on your client hunting man. We’re all doing it. 💪
