We may be familiar with all these Bible verses, but we still find it hard to forgive others, especially for big hurts and wounds. The root cause may have to do with confusion around your “Forgiven” identity in Christ… I used to struggle to forgive people, for small things and big things. However, 7 years ago, Christ gave me a deeper understanding of my “Forgiven” (1 John 1.9) identity. I went from deep confusion regarding my identity of “forgiveness” to consistent understanding and transformation…from realising that I was forgiven for my sins…past – present – future…by the blood of Christ…to Now being able to forgive people easily and frequently…through the power of Christ in me.
