Post a random picture from your camera roll
Either the last picture you took with context, or any random picture without. It's up to you. Or even a video.. I'm a visual person. I like to see stuff. Let's have a little glimpse into your world!

I am also jealous about all the birds you have in your garden...

@Adam McCollough Ah yes, the Chimp... he was gorgeous.
Today I have mainly been making wood into... Smooth wood
Does this take me closer towards my goal? Yes. Why don't I outsource it and spend time growing my company like all the gurus would tell me to do? Because then I wouldn't have the fun of doing it. I'd been giving someone else the pleasure, and end up doing jobs. I don't like like payroll, admin, insurance, accounting, tax returns and the stress of running a bigger company, and trying to get more sales to pay someone else to do the things that I would rather be doing!... Sometimes freedom is as simple as being able to choose how you spend your day. Now it's quite warm so I'm going to go home and relax with an ice cream in the sunshine while I decide what else I'd like to do today. I also spent some time on skool this morning, wrote an article to promote my book, and spent some time fixing the pond filter. How have you spent today so far... And what's your version of success?

I envy you, I just love the smell of wood. Pine is not my favourite but it is better than nought. I love the smell of Kiaat (African Teak) and Imbuia which really was my main woods (my grandfather and uncles were carpenters in South Africa) I spent a while helping my dad in school holidays and after school on Fridays to sand the wood in his furniture factory.
You just don't know until you do it (wrong) but that's okay!
I am very good at starting businesses, but if Iโ€™m completely honest, I initially started most of them very badly. When I launched my first proper graphic design and printing business in the early 90s, I managed to get a loan and immediately blew ยฃ1,500 of it on a hot foil printing machine. I wasted months of my life and had many frustrating late nights trying to calibrate the thing, get the print straight, and generally making an absolute mess of the handful of jobs I had actually managed to win. I didn't know what I was doing, and I got it completely wrong. Then one day, I saw an advert for a competitor who could produce a hundred perfect plastic business cards for about ยฃ8. That was half the price I was charging, and even cheaper than I could buy the blank card stock for myself. I could have thrown the towel in. Instead, I decided to never turn my machine on again. I used that competitor to make the cards for me, doubled their prices, and suddenly had all my time freed up to actually go out and sell my wares. It was the biggest lesson in leverage I ever learned, and I only learned it because I failed so miserably first. Right now I'm changing my newsletter and blogging platform, because last year I made the wrong choice. But I couldn't possibly have known that at the time, with all the research and overthinking in the world. I only know now, from hindsight, that their are better options. The most important thing is to make a decision and do it. ๐—” ๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐˜๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ป๐—ผ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป if it gets the ball roilling. If you are sitting on a business idea right now because you are trying to make the plan perfect or you are terrified of getting it wrong, let me save you the suspense: you are almost definitely going to get it wrong. And that is exactly how it is supposed to work. You have to get through the messy early days to find your footing. Action is always better than sitting on the fence.

@Adam McCollough I have this philosophy, if I cannot win a battle I will avoid it, its the war I need to win!

@Adam McCollough correct... it only works if you understand where you are going!

@Adam McCollough nope, that role is quite funny to us as well, a little South African humor. Jamie Uys was awesome. As to the bush, I started off as a kid in Scouts and lived in the bush every spare moment. After I left the army in 11979 I was a game ranger for a year in the Karoo. I now live in the UK and try to get to South Africa for 3 months every year... my camera is usually very busy.
