My safari trip was full of unforgettable animals, incredible views, and a few surprises along the way! Here are some fun facts about a few of the animals I saw: 🐘 Elephants can recognize themselves in a mirror. They are highly intelligent, emotional animals and are known to comfort one another. 🦒 Giraffes only need a small amount of sleep. Some giraffes sleep for less than two hours a day—and they often sleep standing up! 🦏 Rhinos may look tough, but they can be surprisingly sensitive. They have poor eyesight, but their hearing and sense of smell are excellent. 🐃 Buffalo are incredibly protective of their herd. When one buffalo is in danger, the others may come together to defend it. 🐦 Safari birds are just as fascinating as the larger animals. Many have bright colors, unusual calls, and clever ways of finding food and protecting their nests. 🐾 Some of the smallest animals are the hardest to spot. They use camouflage, speed, and hiding places to stay safe from predators. Seeing these animals in their natural environment made the experience even more special. Every animal—big or small—had something fascinating about it. Which of these facts surprised you the most?

Lost Bags, Big Smiles, and Rhinos at Sunset! Okay, picture this: We sprinted like Olympians through Atlanta to catch our flight to Johannesburg—made it by a miracle! But guess what didn’t? Our luggage. So here we are, four days deep in Zimbabwe with zero bags. Honestly, it’s a plot twist! We’re washing clothes every night and rocking our emergency shopping finds. But let me tell you—Zimbabweans are literally the nicest humans I’ve ever met. The smiles, the kindness—it’s pure joy here. Last night, we hit the safari at sunset—cue black rhino mama, baby rhino, and a gigantic white rhino, all posing like safari superstars. This morning? Sunrise safari! So, who’s had a wild travel twist that turned into a crazy adventure? Spill yours!
