A Project for the first Lesson
I created this using the first lesson prompts: [VERSE 1] — fragile, exposed I laid down what I couldn’t name, covered it softly under sand. Its echoes trembled in the dark, waiting for one last command. [CHORUS] — breath‑like, emotional centre Hold me in this quiet light, long enough to come undone. Let the dust fall off my skin, show me what I’m running from. [VERSE 2] — the tunnel / emergence Through a narrow throat of earth I pulled myself toward something new. And when the daylight touched my bones, I knew what I was crawling through. [BRIDGE] — the shift, the thin‑light moment I felt the weight release its claim, a softer truth beneath the fear. The part of me I thought was gone was only waiting to appear. [OUTRO] — quiet landing A thinner self, a quieter breath, rising from the dust I buried.

👋👋👋 WELCOME NEW MEMBERS
Welcome new members 🖤🌸 @Jeremy Hubbell @Sanjev Roy @Tri Le @Eric Stalter @Miraj Mollah @Gareth Parkes @Steffan Devine So excited you are here. We’re celebrating National Poetry Month with two other poetry groups Art of Poetry and Alive Poets Society through the end of April—every day you’ll be met with writing prompts to explore and create. Head over to their groups and repost your work to make more friend and acquaintances. This community is your space to write, share, and heal the things that come up at night when you close your eyes. We wanna hear about your dreams and thoughts. We want to write with you. Also take advantage of our lyrical prompts—jump into the lyrics challenge and turn one of your poems into a full song. This is a safe space. Post as much or as little as you want—3am writing is always welcome. We’ll always respond to every post, so please show love back by liking and commenting on each other’s work. Don’t be shy… we’re here to connect. — Prompt to get you started: Life in chapters… Tell us about a chapter of your life from a different voice—your friend, your mom, your sister. Use imagery. Let us see it, not just hear it. Respond in this thread with your work or make a new post to say hi and select introductions as your category ——- let’s celebrate you 🎉 Love Nikki

I almost said something I could never take back. Instead, I watched a gull lift itself into the wind, light as forgiveness. How simple it seemed... to rise, to let the moment pass, to choose the quiet path through the trees of my own heart.
