🚀 From Astronaut Dreams to Reality Check
When I was 8, I was convinced I’d be the first person to step foot on Mars. I spent my afternoons in a cardboard box "spaceship," wearing a bike helmet and eating freeze-dried snacks. Then high school hit, and reality (mostly physics) set in. My path zigzagged from wanting to be a marine biologist to a chef, before finally landing on what I do today. The funny thing? That 8-year-old explorer is still in here. The "spaceship" just looks a lot more like a laptop and a cup of coffee now. We spend so much time focusing on our current goals that we forget the wild, unfiltered dreams that started it all. What where yours? I read you!

Hi Carrie, and welcome
Hi friends!
Jumping in before I overthink it 😄 I'm Sarah from Cheshire, England. This year I am trying to slow down and do life gently with less hustle and more humans (and animals!) My answers... 🦄 Blue (the sky, the sea, the calm - such beauty!) 🌈 Pikachu (the only Pokémon I know, zero regrets 😂) 🐛 Skool challenge: easily overwhelmed by all the things to do! Body doubling helps me to focus :) It's so nice to be here! Thank you for having me 🫶 Sarah x

Hi Sarah Jane, what's body doubling?
Honk if you’re over New Year’s resolutions 🪿
Honk if you’re entering this year… - less interested in reinventing yourself - more interested in remembering who you already are - done with “shoulds”, “musts”, and loud declarations - moving at a pace you can actually sustain - willing to rest, recalibrate, and take the lead when it’s yours No fixing. No forcing. Just presence, discernment, and flying in good company. That's Wise Goose energy.🪿

Found my people, let’s goooo!!🦖 Screaming internally in happy dinosaur
I’m Nando, a Brazilian living in London, Ontario, Canada I’m a personal trainer and gym manager, and I’m building an online fitness brand called FitbyNando. 🦄 Favorite color: Red and black 🌈 Favorite Pokemon: Machamp. 💪😂 🐛 My current Skool challenge: Getting real momentum and interaction in my new community. So yeah, I just opened a free Skool community called Athletic Living Collective. The vibe is pretty simple: athletic living for busy schedules. Short workouts, mobility, strength, consistency, and a place where people actually help each other show up. But I’m gonna be honest, I’m struggling with the “early days” part 😅 I opened it, I’m posting,(just changedmy idea and the structure of the community because i got no interactions😪) but getting members + real interaction has been harder than I expected. If you’ve grown a Skool community from 0 to active…What actually moved the needle for you?

@Nando De Oliveira You actually explained your idea very clearly just now. The challenge isn’t the concept, it’s the signals your words are sending. A small but important thing: “athleticism” can sound intimidating. To many busy, sedentary professionals it reads as advanced, sporty, or already fit. People who are tired, stiff, and desk-bound often don’t see themselves as “athletic”, even if what you’re offering is exactly what they need. What you’re really talking about isn’t gym culture or performance, it’s building capacity. You’re helping people who: - Sit all day - feel stiff, flat, or drained - don’t have the energy or time for long gym sessions, or feel comfortable in a gym - Want to move more, but struggle to fit it in And your promise is: “You don’t need to overhaul your life or smash workouts. We rebuild your body inside your workday, in small, doable pieces.” That’s powerful, relatable, and attractive to those of us already struggling with too much on our plates. If it helps, here’s a way to describe your community in plain, inviting language your audience will recognise themselves in: This is a community for busy professionals who want to feel stronger, looser, and more energised, without living in the gym. We focus on short movement sessions you can fit around meetings and workdays: strength, mobility, walking, breathing, done intentionally, not perfectly. The goal isn’t more or harder workouts. It’s building enough daily capacity that movement stops feeling like a chore and starts supporting your life, whether that’s getting through the workday with less stiffness, or having the energy to enjoy sport and activities again. Something that may help with engagement: Your people don’t want or need more information, they crave permission and acceptance (Don't we all?). So give them explicit permission to: - move badly - start small - complain about stiffness and fatigue - admit they’ve been sedentary If your posts invite sharing experience rather than receiving knowledge, interaction will come much faster.

@Nando De Oliveira I think if you want to keep the term athletic the best place to do it would be inside the group where you have already connected with people and have the time and space to work on changing their perception, rather than in your about page/bio where it might scare them off. Just something to think about.
