Studying slowly for my PMP Exam 3rd attempt.
Greetings! I am planning to retake my PMP exam in March 2026. If anyone interested in forming a study group, please feel free to message me or reply this post. I am starting slowly (30 minutes a day because I am mentally recovering from my burnt out and past failures. I will gradually increase study time to 5 days/2 hours and Saturdays 4 hrs for Study Hall mock exams. I am planning to schedule the exam for March or April 2026. Best of luck!

First attempt and I failed
Hello everyone, I’m so sad and disappointed with myself… yesterday I did my first attempt in the PMP exam and I failed. AT in people and business, but “needs improvement” in process. I’ve started to study just 45 days before the exam, but I did not imagined to have so low performance in the process. Could you help me indicating how to prepare for my second attempt ? I’m so disappointed with myself and I’m afraid to be not able ever to pass in this exam.

@Vanessa Carla Rodrigues Please don't be discouraged. I failed my 1st attempt in July. My 2nd attempt is Oct 24. For your 2nd attempt, give yourself more time like 2 months. I highly recommend you get Study Hall Essentials or Plus. This is PMI mock and practice exams. AR has a great content but his exams are not close to the real exam. I also got PMI Authorized On Demand Exam. That exam is harder than the real exam. PM Aspirant has 49 process games and has a good content. Best of luck

Hi Vanessa! You have an advantage. You already have exposure to the exam. Essentially, some of the wording and questions are still fresh in your mind. My advice is to get the results PMI emailed you showing your domain and tasks and run it on ChatGPT to create a study plan based on your strengths and weaknesses. Get PMI Study Hall Plus($70) if you can and do all the practice and mock exams and compare to your exam results. Don't get demoralized if you score around 50 or 60 % on SH. Just review your wrong answers and crossreference with ChatGPT to understand the rationale and the PMI mindset. As far as Prepcast, I did one of their mock exams and I thought it was not reflective of the real exam. It was way to hard to be honest. I am also doing the PMI Authorized On Demand Exam which is harder than the real exam. My last score was 65% and the benchmark is 80% to consider a pass. I recommend with SH try to get mid 70's or low 80's. Hope this helps. You got this!!!!! PS- Ricardo Vargas has great content for PMBOK 6 and 7 and so David McLachlan. Both have you tube channels. PM Aspirant is a great tool for 49 process and ITTOs and Agile content.
Taking exam this weekend
Hi all! Looking for insight from people that have taken the exam recently. What parts of the exam were the hardest? What should I focus on? I’m so nervous

@Amber Gulotta I feel the same way. If I don't pass on my 2nd attempt. This is it. No more $$ to spend. Already spent close to 3k between PMP coaches, application fees, simulators, etc. My advice to anyone taking this exam , recommend to get coaching program with $$$ passing guarantee.
1st Attempt and unfortunately failed
(TL;DR at bottom) Hello everyone, just wanted to share my experience taking the PMP exam. It was definitely challenging and I was nervous a few hours before the test and during the first section. Using Andrew’s Exam simulator was a great tool and I think that’s what helped me achieve at Target for People and Business. I got Below Target for Processes which will be my main focus going for my second attempt. I will say, the wording on the exam is so tricky and even when eliminating answers, being left with 2 or even 3 potentially good choices made it all the more difficult. The drag and drop were also a nightmare as I used Andrew’s 100 drag n drop study material which also helped but the way the choices were worded made it more difficult than I expected. All in all, I’m frustrated and bummed out at my results but still dedicated and have a new burning passion to pass this exam. Sorry for the long post and thank you for everyone who read. TL;DR: Studied my butt off but still failed the exam due to tricky wording, nerves, and lack of knowledge in Processes. Will attempt again.

@Carol Setters Hey Carol! Just do Study Hall questions. Do Mock test 1 and 2 and simulate the exam environment for four hours. No distractions. Watch Andrew Ramdayal videos on Udemy. The exam resembles Study Hall practice questions for the most part.. I had a BETA PERT question, lots of multiselection questions, 1 or 2 drag and drops, 1 burnt chart question. My exam was mostly Agile and questions were from Stakeholder Management, Communication Management, Risk Management, Conflict, Managing virtual and colocated teams. I failed on process. Learn those along with the mindsets either from AR of Mohammad Rahman. Review the Exam Content Outline. Hope this helps and stay positive!

@Yasmine Jourdain Andrew Ramdayal has a PMP Coaching program. You can also run a LinkedIn post searching for a PMP coach. I heard great things from Visakh RJ and Star Alliance. He is on LinkedIn. Be aware from scams
2nd attempt Oct 24
Greetings, I am retaking my exam Oct 24. I watched AR videos on Udemy and rewatching them on TIAexams.com. My 1st attempt my scores were BT process, AT business process and T people. I have Study Hall and completed mock 1 at 82% and mock 2 at 75%. I did all practice questions and mini exams. Overall, I scored 79%. I also have Pocket Prep and completed 4 mock exams and lots of mini exams. My overall score is 78%. I did DM Agile exam on Udemy and scored 82%. Last night, I did PMI Authorized On Demand Exam and scored 56%. This exam is brutal and is close resemblance to the real exam. I read AR book and the Agile Practice guide. I have watched the mindsets videos from AR and Mohammad Rahman several times. I played PMAspirant process game and did AR and DM drag and drops. I might have to revisit those. Lastly, I hired a PMP coach for motivation and to create a study guide. We engage on a weekly basis to answer questions and get motivational support. If anyone ever done the PMI On Demand Authorized Exam, please share some feedback. I think I am overstudying but I rather be prepared. I wish you all the best on your exam.
