Culture is for other peoples’ convenience and the convenience of various institutions, churches, companies, tax collection schemes, what have you. It is not your friend. It insults you. It disempowers you. It uses and abuses you. None of us are well-treated by culture.

It went something like this: "I asked the mushroom once, what is the best way to save the world. and it said: every healthy woman should only have one child. this way we could reduce the population by half in one generation." does this ring the bell for anyone?

Do we all remember what Terence said when asked about how to save the world? "make as much art as possible" in hi opinion this is the most efficient way to understand each other. that's why I think that artists will save the planet. not engineers, not IT professionals, not financial moguls. it will be the artists. what do you think? and what art form are you practicing?
