Filter on micro-tank #2 has gone down, electrical failure, too cheap to want to fix. All aquatic animals are crammed into micro-tank #1 with the babies, they luckily are loaded with plantation as it was my primary shrimp tank and has had tons of care. For now everything is going well. My parent mollies have met and seem okay with their newfound pond intruders. On a side note I am drawing up ideas to make my pond and have an island for storing power units (40) gallons micro pond project. I also will be using a ten gallon tank and having live worms live inside of the substrate on the island. After the island and material choices have been made I will have to use the brim of the island to set filters, heaters, and ultimately be able to establish a ten gallon island to occupy 2000 worms, surrounded by 40 gallons of water. This pond style structure will act as a metropolis for the micro-farm; powering my fertilizer and super soil needs through the years. I plan to have a variety of long lived goldfish (koi style), mollies, rosy red minnows, ghost shrimp, and Malaysian trumpet snails. Ultimately the plan is to have this ready in four months, when the goldfish and baby Molly will be far too large for their current environment. I have the 40 gallon pond/ island established with the colony moved in, I had 7 rosy red minnows die due to the system going down, it’s a volatile hobby.
