I'm looking forward to plugging my novella (VIRTUAL: Invited) into the Scriptmatix adaptation model after my next two procedures. The adaptation process for me in the past has been a tedious and mountainous challenge. I've created mood boards and character cards for my novella, so I'm excited to see how much I can plug in to the Scriptmatix adaptation and story generating tools. From past experiences, I've learned that not everything in a novel or novella can be adapted for screen, and that "cinematic" edits must be allowed in order for the book to pay off on screen. My creative mind never stops working. Lol! Amid some recent heart surgery news I received, I came up with a new story to develop using Scriptmatix. Last week I was told that I need my left heart valve repaired or replaced ASAP, which may require an open heart surgery procedure. That being said, my schedule is full with doctors appointments this month, followed by surgery, then 1-3 months of recovery. Nevertheless, I started thinking about my current situation and decided to come up with an "Enemy of The State" type of premise. HOSTILE HEARTS by Freddy L Robinson LOG LINE (working): A heart surgery patient unknowingly becomes a billion dollar target after his surgeon embeds espionage secrets in his mechanical heart valve replacement. The log line is a little rough around the edges so to speak, but I have plenty of doctors to gather some research information from until my surgery is scheduled. 🤣🙌🏾😃 Hey, as a writer I see it as an opportunity to ask questions, take notes, and develop the story in the Scriptmatix beat plot tool. Tag Line: “One man’s heart holds the key to global chaos.” NOTE: The more I learn from my doctors, the more information I'll be able to plug into the Scriptmatix tools for story development, characters, et cetera.
