More Techniques ≠ Better Close Rates (READ 👇)
I’ve been seeing more and more salespeople try to learn 10-15 different closing frameworks at once & consume new sales content every week… and their performance has gotten worse. Here’s why: If you’re taking less than 30 calls per week, you realistically only need 2-3 core frameworks mastered. And if you’re booking 10-15 appointments/week… you probably need ONE solid framework you can execute flawlessly. The problem with “more techniques” is that you don’t have the call volume or rep frequency to even master that many approaches. And because your volume is so low, what ends up happening is you half-execute one or two methods while the others collect dust in your notes app. The problem isn’t “this framework doesn’t work for me” The problem is your execution is too inconsistent because you’re trying to juggle too many strategies at once. You don’t need more techniques… you need to MASTER THE FUNDAMENTALS. As you take more calls and build confidence in your core framework, you’ll naturally adapt and expand because you’ll recognize specific objection patterns and develop instinctive responses that compound your results. So… choose 1-2 PROVEN frameworks that align with your personality, master them through consistent execution on real calls, & SCALE your call volume to where adding new techniques actually makes sense. And last note… if your close rate is crushing it and you’re consistently hitting 40-50%+ because you’ve mastered the fundamentals, you don’t need to consume new sales content every week just because other reps are doing it… Just increase your call volume and perfect your execution until you start to see diminishing returns from the same approach, then layer in advanced techniques that address the specific objections you’re encountering at scale. TL;DR: Stop treating “learn more tactics” as the default solution. Your winning framework doesn’t always need constant complexity—it needs more REPS behind it. Scale volume first, add techniques when the data tells you to.

Makes a Lot of Sense! Lately I have been selective on what is being presented as I have a HUGE folder with tone of Shiny Objects that I am pruning as that seems it is holding me back and coupled with my financial situation and my health, limits the time I can devote to this. Which is why I have to get off the Shiny Object train and come up 2-3 techniques I can Master. I am also very limited in the $$$ I have for this ,which is basically zero. I have been flushing out that which cost next to nothing and have been doing OK in that respects. Well, that's about all for right now!
