Hi! Frank here. We talk about our daughter a lot because her experiences were our inciting incident into the world of intuition. But our son is an entirely different story. He’s 4 right now, which is usually before the age of anything especially intense or evidential, but this little dude has read our minds on multiple occasions. Earlier this week, Lauren was out of town for work, so I was on full-time daddy duty. Listen… I hate cooking. I hate cooking anything. Except breakfast. Breakfast is the best. Fast, efficient, hits the spot. That night, I decided we were doing Breakfast For Dinner. “B4D”, a sacred dad tradition probably invented after tee ball practice eons ago. The problem is: we NEVER do this, so now I have to sell it. I start giving the kids a whole speech about healthier choices, protein, the cost of takeout, saturated fat, inflation… stuff way above their pay grade. I’m feeling pretty smart because I haven’t even mentioned breakfast yet. Suddenly, completely out of nowhere, my son goes: “WAIT. Are we gonna have breakfast for dinner?!” 😳 “Buddy… how the heck did you know that?” His answer was basically unintelligible, and it became clear that even HE didn’t know why he knew. He just knew. Even our daughter was at a loss for words, which is rare. Lucky for me, they were both very down for breakfast, but now I’m also cooking a side of questions. While this may be a low-stakes example of claircognizance, it’s not his first time. He’s blurted out internal thoughts from other people and even correct answers to math questions that were way beyond him. The funny part is how casual he is about all of it. Meanwhile I’m over here wondering: “Buddy… if you somehow knew I wanted an over-medium egg and gluten-free toast… what else are you picking up on?” Only time will tell 😅
