If you feel like you’re doing everything right… but your body isn’t changing, stress might be the missing piece. When you’re constantly stressed (busy schedule, under-eating, overtraining, poor sleep), your body produces more cortisol. And when cortisol stays elevated for too long, it can: ✨ Make fat loss harder (especially around the midsection) ✨ Increase cravings especially at night ✨ Disrupt hunger/fullness signals ✨ Impact sleep and recovery But here’s something that often gets overlooked… Your internal environment matters too. Negative self-talk like: “I’m not disciplined enough” “I’ve ruined everything” “Why can’t I just stick to it?” …keeps your body in a constant state of stress as well. Your body doesn’t know the difference between a busy schedule and a critical inner voice, it just feels pressure. So if it feels like there’s a lot going on, it may not need more restriction…It may need more support + consistency. Think: 💛 Regular meals 💛 Enough protein + carbs 💛 Strength training (not just more cardio) 💛 Rest + recovery days 💛 Speaking to yourself like someone you actually care about Fat loss isn’t just calories in vs calories out — your body’s environment matters.

It doesn't have to be a big sit down meal, it can be something small but having protein and fibre within 1-2hours of waking up is the way to go to set yourself up for success!
