TURNING A TIKTOK TREND INTO A SONG – NEED YOUR PROMO IDEAS!
I make music and I’m based in Romania. Some time ago, the Cooking with Kya trend was blowing up on TikTok, so I made a song inspired by that vibe. At first glance, it’s just a regular trap song — not directly about Kya — but around the halfway mark, there’s a bridge where I say: “cooking hits in the studio, I don’t wanna cook with Kya,” followed by the iconic sample: “cooking with Kya, cooking with Kya.” It’s been a while since then, but I recently managed to shoot the video, and I’m planning to release the song in a few weeks. Now I’m brainstorming marketing ideas and would love your input. Recently, I became friends with an African-American girl, and I thought it might be fun to create TikToks with her, playing around with the idea that “Kya came to Romania” or “here’s Kya in my studio” — something funny and relatable that gives the illusion that she is Kya. What do you think? Any other ideas or angles I should try?

BLOWING up with a FANPAGE
I saw that video Blowing up is now on EASY mode (for musicians) and decided to create my own fanpage as well. But honestly, I have no idea what to post. I release music once every one or two months. I’ve looked at fanpages of mainstream artists from my country for inspiration, but most of them post edits featuring the artists with their songs or global hits. If I did the same, it wouldn’t really work - there’s nothing engaging about an edit of an artist that people don’t already know. So that option is off the table. Right now, the only idea I’ve started working on is making lyric videos, which seems like the best option for me at the moment. Another idea I had was going live on Instagram every once in a while to preview an unreleased song, then posting on the fanpage like “Wow, X just went live and played a unreleased song” And maybe, if I’m lucky, the right song might blow up on TikTok What do you guys think? Feel free to share your thoughts, there are a lot of artists in my situation, and your input could help all of us!

@Steve Zafeiriou Yeah, i think it could be, but tell me one person who works in this niche and has a fanpage, and you'll answer your own question.
