Simply Why
I mostly play Casual 2v2 and usually sit around 1300 MMR. Right now, I’m at 1299, but my peak has been around 1380–1400 MMR. I mostly run into Diamond and Champ players, of course sometimes higher and other times lower, highest there was, was an SSL, which makes me wonder—why does it seem like every other player uses directional air roll, while I don’t? Why is it that so many people can do it? Has it got some requirement to get Diamond level, is that why I can't go higher than Diamond 1?

Simple answer, they learned it because it looks cooler. Back in the day when the pros were barely able to air dribble people believed that airroll gives u more control over the ball, so everyone tried to learn airroll. Reality is the advantage is so small that’s it’s not worth it to learn from the beginning. Most people use it because air dribbling without airroll looks boring, but if u don’t have hundreds of hours of practice. Airroll makes it harder to control the ball

@Josef Schroder most people use it out of comfort yea, but its harder to learn and the advantage isnt really that big, espacially in lower ranks. if ur new to aerial stuff try to minimize ur use of airroll because it makes everything harder. when u get comfortable with flying while airrolling u can implement it ingame

@Nathan D do you have a duo mate who plays an pc, he could send the replay. Preferably a friend that’s the same rank.
Aerial
Im a kbm player but the mechanic i stuggle the most is aerial i cant control my car that well up in the air and look at videos for help but instead were to complicated to understand how can i get better at it?

@Chima D i would recommend to start with basic drills then, go in freeplay and fly straight lines in every direction, forward sideways and backwards, if u can do that start flying circles, or just any shape so u fly in multiple directions at the same time. dont focus on clean looks, dont over use airroll, focus on hitting the ball and learning control. making it look good should not be ur priority when learning

@Chima D i see, sounds like the main problem isnt the mechanical struggle but rather reading the ball trajectory. idk ur rank / skill level but ill assume u need to work on both. for aerial control just keep flying in freeplay, u just need to get comfortable with ur car and theres no way to get that besides lots of hours. for reading the ball, make a wider approach so its easier to see how fast the ball is moving, approach the ball from an angle to make navigating easier, flying 90 degree in the air is extremely hard to control. and experience will always help
My browser has 57 tabs open... and I think I just found the cure. 😅
Can anyone relate to this? You're trying to figure out one simple thing—like how to write a good email subject line—and three hours later you have a million tabs open, you've watched 12 YouTube videos, and you're more confused than when you started. 😵‍💫 It's a nightmare. We're drowning in information but starving for a clear, straight answer. So, I stumbled onto something a few days ago, and I was SUPER skeptical at first. It's called the EcomBoostPack. My first thought was, "Great, another giant folder of random PDFs I'll never read." But I was desperate for an answer on sales funnels last night, so I gave it a shot. I opened it up, searched "funnel," and my jaw literally dropped. 🤯 It wasn't just one book. It was a whole library. There were guides on simple funnels, complex funnels, copywriting for funnels, traffic strategies for funnels... everything. I found a clear, step-by-step playbook and had my answer in 15 minutes. All the other 56 tabs? Closed. 🙏 It's basically a searchable, A-Z encyclopedia for every marketing question you could ever have. The reason I'm sharing this is because it feels like a secret weapon against information overload. If you're tired of the endless searching, you have to see this: 👉 https://www.ecomboost.space/ Seriously, this thing is a lifesaver. Hope it helps someone else get some clarity and finally close some tabs!

I need to rank up.
I’ve been stuck in gold 3 for a while, just dipping in and out of plat depending on my tm8s and I need to have a regular duo who is about high gold to plat level who can rank up with me. If your interested let me know
