Tess Barclay 100K giving her very defined take on how to grow.
I can't always watch Tess' videos so I am quite selective. This one I watched all the way through and I really liked her points of view, how video titles should have a strong point of view, and the thumbnail style she sees working best right now. I changed my thumbnail that I was going to upload (was still creating it) for the style she talked about so we will see how it goes 😝 and I liked her 'less is more' theory on a whole bunch of stuff. Let me know if you watch any of it and what your thoughts are.

@Marv Duffy Browse would support the belief out there we are no longer in the social centered medias but the interest based medias. I've definitely seen the results coming from the browse increases.
Absolute elite-level trolling by Claude in their new Super Bowl ads.
Open AI’s Chat GPT are going to start running ads in free Chat GPT because they’re losing millions. Their business plan from a couple years ago relied on them being the dominant player with more people using their paid subscription model. They thought that they would have such a first mover advantage that they would forever be Coke and everyone else would be fighting it out to be Pepsi🤪 But Google’s Gemini and Anthropic’s Claude have now caught up and I think are even better in some ways. One of the best comments I saw on X responding to Sam Altman (CEO of OpenAI): “Anthropic: makes funny ad about ad-driven Al. Sam: writes 400-word defensive essay calling them authoritarian, deceptive, and elitist The ad hit a nerve. Wonder why.” Do you pay for ChatGPT or any other AI?

🤣🤣🤣 Do we know if this ad was written by a human or was it written by an AI? Which one? If I was ChatGPT, I would accuse the Claude platform of using GPT to create it haha.

It seems the big three are currently ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, and each one seems to have a reputation of doing specific things better than the others. I have heard that Claude is really excellent at writing from a human perspective.
Using AI on photos
Have any of you experimented with this? I asked ChatGPT to make a Norman Rockwell image of a photo of mine. Here’s what it gave me. I’d be interested in seeing how this works for you. Have you ever done it? I look worried. Maybe I should be! 😂

@Karen Taylor @Mike Adams I've read if you want to keep your face original using ChatGPT or another AI that you include in your prompt to make no changes in your face 😆

Not trying to one-up you @Mike Adams, but I asked Picasso, via ChatGPT, to paint my portrait. Here is the result. If you've ever wanted a Picasso painting, now's your chance. I'll be selling prints for $10.
Using video "clips" to your advantage.
Today I've committed to starting a two week trial to see how effective video clips are by releasing 1 at 11 am and one at 8 pm (9 hours between each clip). The clips I'm starting with are from videos that have higher views or considered evergreen videos. This was done by comparing lifetime and 28 day stats. My objective is to see if the clips will drive traffic to full length videos with an end screen and pinned comment (I found out that you cannot put an end screen if the clip is less than 25 secs long). The clips are more appealing to me versus a short because I get watch time from the clips, as I am not monetized. What are your observations and thoughts using clips?

@Just Krista really excellent video on this. My gut tells me, though, this has to hurt in the long run because of what shorts do, which is train and encourage the brain to pay attention for a minute or less. It just seems counterintuitive to gaining viewers for long-form videos, and by long-form I mean simple five to ten minute videos. It is clear YouTube is really pushing shorts right now and I don't get it. I even see it in myself that my attention span has shortened dramatically. Anyway thanks for this detailed report. I will be playing with clips. They are kind of fun. Also the best point I got from the video was to be sure to put the link to the full video in the description, creating that loop back to the long-form video.

@Just Krista who knows, or shall I say, it seems nobody knows what YouTube really wants 😊 but I see a consistent theme out there from top channels. The bottom line rubric is retention. If one puts out a 10 or 20 minute video and someone drops off in the first 30% (or worse first 30 seconds) of the video, the algorithm will drop it, according to them. I think my numbers show that as well. Videos that perform the best or highest have the best retention. Of course all this can change overnight. I am going to do my own experiment using some clips. I personally like them. It seems if I can find the best 45 seconds of a video and put it out there, it might peak interest in checking out things on the channel.
The New YouTube Ai Ask Studio
Have you tried the Ask Studio? It looks pretty cool. Saw Sean Cannel talking about it. The fact it has access to not only your channel's videos but also the comments is very exciting. How? I asked it what it suggests my next video topic be about, and it based it's answer on my channel's past 90 days results. The suggestion was not surprising and I am making that video next. (Today) You can access this tool in your YouTube studio, upper right side, thru that black star. Let's see what happens 🤨 📍Update: the video posted this morning and in the first hour and a half it's ranking number two of my last 10. But I must say it is not the topic I really want to talk about which is basically Social Security. I think it was suggested because there is so much wondering, worry, interest, etc. about it.

@David Taylor you could ask it about your topic and get some advisement of what is being successful on the platform ... try a conversation with it.
