I was in a S.H.I.T. Storm!
I had plans I wanted to share with you this week. Plans for a 1 week focus on each of S H I T. Plans I was working on last Friday and intended to polish and share this past weekend. And then out of nowhere the SHIT STORM hit. I literally faced one calamity after another. And just when I though a modicum of peace had surfaced the biggest storm of all hit. I am not being dramatic. It was real... There was a wind storm on Friday Saturday morning I woke up to no internet --> starlink freezes at -32 and with the windchill it was colder. So I got out my ladder and a heating pad and those other pads you heat in the microwave and wrapped the wires and melted the ice on my Satellite dish. BTW I live 2.5 hour north east of Toronto and hot-spotting from my phone is not an option as I get 1 bar of cell signal. And no land line. Without wifi I am pretty much out of communication. Though I tried to warm the dish and wires - it did not work and in the process I fell off the ladder. Thankfully into soft snow so nothing more than a slightly sprained wrist and frustrated soul. Given the lack of response from the satellite to my heating methods, it seemed the only option was to head out an do errands and get another system. I do have a back-up and it too failed and a repair person could not come for 48-72 hours! Since it had not snowed for 2 days my driveway was pretty clear and I drive a jeep so heading out made sense. Except the wind storm had caused snow drifts and as mighty as my jeep is, 100 feet from my front door i was completely stuck. I walked back home and got my shovels. I should share that whenever I am outside now (this is new since Christmas) I also have bear spray in my pocket because a delivery person saw a pack of 8 wolves 300' from my cottage. And Sadie who normally runs loose is now always closeby and in this case safe in the car because you just never know. After 30 minutes of digging I unstuck the jeep and reversed back into my driveway and was able to get sufficient signal to text my snow plow guy. And amen he came within the hour so I could get out.

No More Procrastinating. Starting Now.
The thing I’ve been avoiding due to procrastination—but I’m committing to take action on in the next 7 days—is finishing my job applications and starting my AI learning.😆

@Gerrilynne Hoskin I’m starting with some free beginner AI courses, like the ones on Coursera (e.g., Andrew Ng’s AI For Everyone), just to build a solid foundation first. I’ll share what I learn with you all 😊
