Token usage efficiency
@Kj Rainey I noticed that although I can manage the hourly usage pretty effectively, I consume a lot of the weekly one (30% already and it resets next Sat). Does it mean I got the process working efficiently by using the 2 layers system, but I do use it a lot overall? As I am actually building stuff with it, would it make sense to upgrade to the Pro, or maybe you have some extra hints to give - a part of having a dedicated Claude.md for each specific project, a dedicated folder per project, connectors and skills enabled only when needed? Thanks man!

@Kj Rainey Man I didn’t get there yet and just watched the whole video. That’s soooo cool! It’s exactly how I’m doing and how I’m feeling when I hit the max. With a little difference, I’m using the forced rest as a detox as I’m worried i wouldn’t leave my desk otherwise 😂 On top, I created a handoff/pickup skill that saves me a lot of time and usage: every time I finish part of my project I run /handoff and it creates a full note of that chat session; then I open a new task for the next step of the project and run /pickup and Claude starts with full context and only important info, no fluff. I think I’ll need to upgrade soon, though. Thanks man for such a valuable community! God bless you and your family! 🙏
Should I create a skill in the cowork homebase or should I create a new folder
Hello, I want to create a skill for lead sourcing(since I honestly hate it), And I was wondering, should I put this skill in the cowork homebase second brain KJ gave us, or is it more efficient to create a whole new folder for each skill. which one wastes the least tokens?

If i understood correctly @Kj Rainey’s set up, you should use the second brain as main character (imagine it to be your CEO who doesn’t need to know the process of their accounting department), then you get specific agents with detailed responsibilities and skills (the heads of departments and expert employees). The latter are the ones you want to know how exactly how to process the action. The CEO doesn’t need to know and wouldn’t be wise to overload it with such info. At least, that’s how I built my system. Yet, usage consumption is still a big limit to my daily operations. Hope it helps! 🤙🏻
Tokens efficiency
To gain some token efficiency (working with building websites consumes a lot), Claude’s suggested to use fresh sessions for each specific topic and run them in parallel. However, to be able to switch without loosing context, it advised to create a skill, namely /handoff and /pickup, to bridge context across sessions. I’ll test it in the next days to see if it really works 🤞🤙

Quick update on the handoff and pickup skills. Since I created those, I use it constantly and it seems that it makes Claude working faster and more focused. However it needed multiple tentatives and adjustments. The latest version also takes in consideration the Dispatch I run from my mobile app while away from the laptop. In this way, I am able to keep working on the same project while switching devices, by picking up from the previous session. Although this make economy of the length limits, yet usage limit keeps running pretty fast. (https://support.claude.com/en/articles/11647753-how-do-usage-and-length-limits-work). I can share those here, if it can be of any help

@Wesley Penner I guess this is following the agreement done with Amazon. Good news! Thanks for sharing @Wesley Penner
Second Brain Starter - Unzipped
Hey @Kj Rainey I noticed I only get the Starter already unzipped on my Mac (tried multiple times - even after deleting the previous versions), is that still alright or I may miss on something important? Thanks!

I've already set everything up and started working with it. Would it make any sense to zip it back and relaunch it in Claude, in your opinion?
AI like the steam for the industrial revolution
Hi everyone! Right after getting laid off from my company and loosing every financial security, I decided to jump all-in into my projects, and AI is at the heartbeat. I believe this is one of those generational shifts similar to how steam has impacted the Industrial Revolution in the past. I’m a cautious adopter, in fact I’m building everything with security and cybersecurity in mind: I try to keep access segregated, produce AI guardrails, make sure my hardware and internet access points are safe, and even separate my Obsidian Vaults into personal matters and professional projects. Yet, there is so much to know and learn and I feel this is the right place. @Kj Rainey gave me the impression of a genuine person with a true sense of sharing and I’m grateful to have landed on this community. Wish y’ll to realise your dreams and stay true to yourself while doing so! Peace ✌🏻
