Rolling up sleeves
When you wear a long sleeve button down shirt casually, how often do you roll the sleeves up? I haven’t been in the habit of doing it. But I’ve noticed my brother does it almost all the time.

I’m partial to the Italian role, just about to the mid forearm. Typically only when going more casual and it’s warm outside.

Very classy, sir!
Need a color opinion on rugby shirt.
Good Afternoon Gentleman, I need an opinion. I went out on a limb and bought a little bit of a different color than I generally wear and torn on how it looks, blends with hair color etc. I picked up a Lands End rugby in brown and color block with a middle. I am quite comfortable wearing ruby shirts, as I have had several over the years. But I usually get full stripes and in general never wear brown shirts. What does everyone think? To dark or am I just not use to the change?

Yeah, color seems fine. It’s lighter than your hair and dark enough to contrast with your skin tone.
Cocktail attire. At 3:15 AM?!?
Some very good friends of ours invited us to a wedding in Dallas (actually Aubrey Tx part of the Dallas sprawl ). Some young new clients had hired me to do a financial plan and the only time we could meet was 8:30 AM yesterday. So up at 3:15 preparing for the meeting. I went ahead and got ready for the evening events knowing that it would be a very tight day. Met clients at my Tulsa office-drove the 4.5 hours to the hotel so my wife could change and made the 5:00 wedding arriving at 4:57 {whew}. Cocktail attire was the info on the invitation. But knowing the crowd I knew that would be ignored these days I wasn’t too concerned. Nevertheless I grabbed my medium weight MTM blue herringbone suit made for me Oct 1995, CT red and blue lined tattersall shirt. A red tartan bow tie. A deep red polka dot pocket square, 1940’s Ernst Borel automatic watch black captoes by J Fitzpatrick. Not seen are my silk deep green braces with red squares. My friend Jim the father is Apache and I love when he wears his authentic Apache beadwork tie. His daughter Jessi the bride is a beautiful young lady who now teaches music and is extremely talented. It was a delightful evening and worth the effort.

@Warner Smith asked about wearing braces so I snapped the first photo to give him a look of my work clothes with the heavier work braces on. The red Van Heusen Henley is probably over thirty years old but still good enough to work in. I am guessing the Carhardt denim dungarees are maybe half that old. In the first picture I am wearing my Sage linen flatcap as I was about to through on the new Sage jacket to run the car over to the dealership. I took it off and put on the grey herringbone newsboy from Totes that I picked a while back.at a tag sale along with a mess of ties. My guess is it is from the seventies as were some of ties. My other reason for that date is that it is polyester but has a wool feel. I know the lined blue flannel shacket is a bit big on me though it did not use to be. Still, it is warm enough for me to be doing yard work in. I am guessing it is roughly twenty seven years old.
