@Ashley Carvel ‘sleep when you’re dead’ is commonly used in my house! That being said, after making myself ill at the beginning of the year, I’m spending a bit more time ensuring I do sleep 😂 I’ve learnt my lesson the hard way. I was a huge fan of PUBG for years, it stole my life. Then I started writing. I’ve not played it again since.

I write them down or take a break. I’ve found when I’m tired the words don’t work, or don’t look right. I’ve been pleasantly surprised on occasion, if I hadn’t taken note it wouldn’t be there. Either that or I follow @Lindsay Duncan and edit small areas!

@Lindsay Duncan 52k is a great feat. Well done! What’s your sci-fi about? I’ve found writing my third book to be the hardest one yet. I had thousands of ideas and now I’m writing it’s like ‘nope, not today, satan’. I hope you write all your ideas down 😂😂 it might help at a later date. Even the small daft ones! 90k is where I aim for too, the only thing is it can drop or climb depending on the edits. Are you strict on staying close to that number or do you give yourself some wiggle room?
