Bolt Free Weekend - Portfolio Projects Idea
Hey guys any Vibe Coders out there looking to create websites and web apps? You might be interested in the Bolt free weekend, grab free credits and build a web app. Perfect to learn about creating websites via AI and quickly creating example projects that you can add to your portfolio. I'm trying out many of the platforms and creating some impressive, (for me, at least!), projects. @Sam N Having tried loveable.dev and render.com before, and now bolt.new I have become familiar with the low-code website creation tools, I am in no way an expert and still use chatgpt alongside them to help plan out, structure the webapp and guide me through any errors. I can edit the files created with the help of chatgpt. Overall, I find it very useful to be able to add functionality to a website/webapp that's specific to your needs, something you would have to try to implement with plugins on WordPress - which may not always be compatible or may not have the functions you need or are locked behind a pay wall.
🔥 How To Get Clients on Instagram | 3 Strategies (100K views)
With no pervious clients, and only 60 followers on my account, I landed my first instagram client worth 💰 $6,000! - These are the exact strategies and methods I used to get Web Design Clients on Instagram. Here's how you can achieve the same result: 1. Create a "fake" portfolio - I had only 6 posts on my account! 2. Optimise your profile for your offer and niche 3. Send personalised outreach messages (such as the video offer - Tutorial & Help in the Pro 💎 Skool) This video just crossed 100K views 🚀 - Thank you so much!!

Did anyone take advantage of the free loveable.dev weekend to build a website/Web app. I was working non-stop to try and creating two apps with a connected supabase database - alas, in the end there were a lot of users on the platform and I didn't complete them for submission to the competition. Buy hey, that's two apps I have gained many skills working on creating and two evidence of work for my portfolio. I am looking at other platforms with a free tier to make myself familiar with no-code learning. Does anyone know of any other platforms similar to loveable, bolt and render?

@Edward Howell I have some past experience of creating simple websites in WordPress where I have taken a template and changed fonts, images, layout, adding snippets of code and then adding functionality with plugins - but these websites were created many years ago, during several previous jobs that I have had and always needed managing and updating frequently otherwise they would break or there would be a plugin conflict. Also, a lot has changed with the various ways you can edit/create a WordPress site nowadays, with Page Builders, Block Editors and Widgets. I haven't used Webflow yet, and I have only recently started to use Framer after following a tutorial that demonstrated how to create "high-ticket" websites using Relume, Figma and Framer. This has demonstrated to me the potential of creating stunning websites relatively easily, without having to learn to code (or seek information on forums or the internet). They also look fresh and modern, with animations and effects, which seems to be the modern trend. I'm still trying to get to grips with Framer (and soon Webflow), thankfully both platforms have a learning academy, where I am trying to gain the necessary skills. The biggest obstacle I have is finding the time between my normal work and family life. Which platform do you prefer, and why? - Should I still create websites using WordPress, or try Shopify/Squarespace? I want to focus on websites for businesses, particularly in ecommerce.

@Jasmine Gill That sounds like a great plan! I'm still in the learning phase myself - I had some experience with WordPress/WooCommerce years ago, but now that I want to get in to website design full-time, I'm brushing up on the latest tools like page builders, block editors, widgets, and plugins. Right now, I’m exploring Framer for website creation too, and Webflow is next on my list to learn. I found WordPress is a solid beginner-friendly platform choice with tons of customisation and functionality options. Webflow and Framer are great for more design freedom without needing to code. You can create some really awesome modern websites, with cool animations and effects - this seems to be the latest design trend.

Hey everyone, I'm Faz! I'm returning to web design after seven years in a different industry, aiming to build my own website agency using no-code and low-code solutions. I had started learning to create high-ticket websites through another Skool.com course, but it was recently cancelled, and all materials were removed in favor of an upcoming paid course. So, while I'm excited to continue learning, I'm also a bit apprehensive about how this course will unfold. Looking forward to connecting and seeing where this journey takes us!
