A few days ago, I shared a thought in one of @Jarne Großstück 's posts, and I felt like bringing it to the whole community here!! 🤍 My word for this year is 𝗞𝗔𝗜𝗥𝗢𝗦! Unlike chronological time (the hours, days, and deadlines we measure), Kairos is about the right, meaningful, or opportune moment. That moment when something seems to align... but you still have to be present enough to recognize it and act. And lately, I've been noticing Kairos everywhere: 𝘐𝘯 𝘶𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴. 𝘗𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴. 𝘖𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘥. 𝘐𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘥𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘴 𝘢𝘨𝘰. It has made me think a lot about how much our internal state affects what we're actually able to notice. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗱, 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻, 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗲? So one of my practices this year has become less about asking: “𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯?” and more about asking: “𝘼𝙢 𝙄 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨?” Listen. Pay attention. Trust what you're noticing. And then, act when the moment asks something of you. Because Kairos isn't passive waiting for the universe to do everything for us. 😅 It's recognizing the moment... and meeting it when it arrives. 🤍✨ Have you had a “Kairos moment” recently, like a conversation, person, opportunity or synchronicity that seemed to arrive at exactly the right time?
