"Huh? But Skool Games winners don't do it like that..."
Hey Clinician! Let’s talk About Pages — specifically, the ones from Skool Games winners. Because if you’ve been checking out their groups (and who hasn’t?), you might be wondering: “Why does Jason keep banging on about clear offers, pain points and future selves... when these top earners aren’t doing any of that?” Totally fair question. You’ll often see me here recommending things like pain points, dream outcomes and strong psychological hooks — instead of a dry list of group features. But that can seem at odds with the approach many Games winners have taken. So here’s what I want you to know: 🏆 Skool Games winners are, by definition, crushing it. 💎 I work with some of the highest earners on the platform to rebuild their About Pages and manage their conversion growth — so I say this with total respect... Some of them are winning in SPITE of their About Pages, not BECAUSE of them 😅 Ever since the Games kicked off in Feb 2024, a kind of received wisdom has been passed down — and it's led to some common issues, like: 👀 No pain points or psychological hooks 👀 Heavy focus on “what’s inside” instead of the dream outcome 👀 Tiny, hard-to-read text (even on desktop!) pulled from overused templates 👀 Very little work done to harness the power of testimonials These creators are still converting because they’ve often spent weeks or months warming up their audience through content — posts, podcasts, YouTube, you name it. So when someone lands on their About Page, they’re already sold. But your visitors may be in a different place. They might be colder — Skool users browsing around, looking for something that hits home fast. That’s why I always advise my high-ticket clients to optimize for cold traffic — because even Games winners often miss conversions right under their noses from people already inside Skool. Hope that makes sense? This isn’t a swipe at Games winners — far from it. Just something to bear in mind if you’re tempted to “just copy” someone else’s About Page copy or VSL script.
