You are probably better of being a lot more specific with what you are offering here to get a decent result. What kind of website? What platform? What niche do you specialize in? What do you cover? Does it come with hosting/without hosting? What is the cost of hosting? What does "$80 and upwards" mean? It's not concrete and doesn't come across very clear if that makes sense. Outline it in a well thought out manner that makes it appealing for others. And better if you're transparent about what you're offering people rather than trying to bait them. Because you may actually find someone who will pay you properly. Outlining your exact expertise will be extremely helpful and better if you're able to provide a link to your previous work. Hi Roz - sorry to hear this happened to you. You should never take on any VA work EVER without being paid upfront. If they need a guarantee, you can always use PayPal (if you can access it). Document everything. Never do any work without a contract (even if it is just a one pager). Have them sign it so you have it. As you have this amount of experience, take this as a learning (we all have to learn the hard way usually). Set yourself up a free website in Canva (they have all the training and details), and showcase a portfolio with the kind of work that you do. Also, easier said-than-done, but don't ever, every question your self-worth because some douche bag didn't have the decency to pay you. Do you know why they didn't pay? Were you clear on the tasks and outcome? Did you hand the work over and they ran with it? Or did they say they were unhappy with it? If you can try to dissect it and look at it from a logical point of view. Also, zoom out to a way bigger picture. This will be a mere bump in the road and a great lesson to be able to warn others.
