☕🐼 Builder's Morning | What If You Already Have What You Need?
Good morning, builders! Have you ever caught yourself thinking, "Maybe THIS is what I've been missing!" Another free guide. Another blueprint. Another course. Another community. Another strategy that promises to finally make things click. And just like that, we're excited again! There's some fascinating brain science behind this. Our brains are drawn to novelty and the anticipation of reward. The possibility of discovering something valuable can feel motivating, especially when we're frustrated with our progress. Here's where it gets interesting. Finding another answer can FEEL like making progress, even when we haven't done anything differently. We collect information. Save resources. Join conversations. Fill our notebooks with ideas. Meanwhile, that course we purchased is still waiting. The advice someone gave us hasn't been tried. The people who could help us are already sitting in our communities. And we're off looking for the next thing! I've certainly been guilty of this myself. But I've been thinking about what happens when we stop collecting answers long enough to actually USE one. To try it. Give it some time. Pay attention to what happens. Make adjustments. Learn something we couldn't have learned just by reading about it. Because sometimes the missing piece isn't more information. It's what we haven't done with the information we already have. Now, I'm not suggesting we stop learning or exploring. Sometimes a fresh perspective really does change everything. But I wonder how much further we might get if we became as curious about applying what we've learned as we are about discovering something new. Here's something to think about this morning... Before you go looking for your next answer, what's one thing you already have that you haven't fully put to work yet?

@Donna Thornton Thanks for the shoutout.
🚥If traffic is one of the things you're working on...🚥
I've had a few conversations lately with builders who are trying to get more of the right people through the door. So when @Des Dreckett shared this, I asked if I could bring it over here. Des put together 10 Ways to Get People Into Your Skool Community, with practical ideas for YouTube, commenting in other communities, Classifieds, events, presenting in other communities, your About page, and more. Thank you, Des, for putting so much work into this and letting me share it with our builders. ❤️ But here's the part I REALLY want you to notice... Des isn't telling you to go do all 10. His advice is to pick two, test them for six weeks, pay attention to what actually brings people in, and keep what earns its place. That part feels especially important. Because when traffic is slow, it's really easy to collect another 10 things we could be doing...and suddenly we're trying to do all of them. 😂 I'd rather see you use this as a menu. Read through it. Notice what makes sense for your community, your people, and the time you actually have. Pick something to test. And, I'd love for you to come back and tell us what happened. If you look through all 10 and aren't sure what makes sense to test first, bring that question here, too. That's exactly the kind of thing we can think through together. Thank you again, Des. This is a really a very useful resource.

@Oddysey Campbell 💯
now I'm wondering if I got it right
I posted my pricing a few weeks back and got some real talk: the $99 to $197 jump felt like too much of a gap. People couldn't see why VIP was worth it. So I went back and restructured everything around what you actually need at each level. Free Learn AI hands-on. Build something. Hang with other builders doing the same. Premium ($99/mo) Get your first client in 7 days. Stop spinning. Land something real. VIP ($197/mo) Weekly 1:1 calls to get unstuck fast + full recording library Proven client flow system (never hunt for your next deal) Pricing strategy + closing templates to raise rates confidently Personal brand playbook (attract clients without outreach) Business scaling roadmap (1-person → multiple revenue streams) Full community access + option to build your own The idea is simple: Premium gets you your first client. VIP helps you turn that into an actual business. I'm also testing $149 for the middle tier instead of $99. Makes VIP feel like less of a stretch when you're already there. If you run a paid community, I'd actually like to know: does this feel better? What would you change? I'm genuinely curious what lands with you.

@Donna Thornton, quite nuanced for each community, really. Running the test is the best thing you can do 👍

@Muskan Ahlawat I created two new communities specifically designed to take advantage of Skool Growth Boost. I explain how it was done in my free community.

Why I built Cooking Skool
A bit of an experiment, if I'm honest. I saw @Des Dreckett run a growth experiment combining youtubeforskool and it got me thinking about doing something similar here which is part of why the first 100 people can join as founding members for $5/year, locked in for life. After that, it moves to a monthly rate. But the real reason goes back further. I used to be a food tech teacher. I didn't stay in that role long the curriculum got in the way of what I actually cared about: teaching real, useful life skills. My own home economics teacher ( early 1980's) did it right one week she'd demo a recipe, the next week we'd cook it ourselves. imple and hands-on. That's how I learned, and it stuck with me. Not everyone gets that. You either grew up cooking, or you didn't and if you didn't, you're left to figure it out later, badly. That's the gap Cooking Skool fills. Every week: one simple recipe, one shopping list will be shared, with a live cook along (with replay) So same structure that worked for me, just for grown-ups who never got the chance the first time round. Just simple, from scratch cooking, taught properly. So this is my plan and it feels alighned and it's my passion, I will use skool plus other social media to bring in traffic. Also what I've learnt and learning with my The Indian Cooking Club, I will put into practice. I'm looking forward to creating a Cooking Skool ......community https://www.skool.com/cooking-skool-6111
