Built a 2D version of “Steal a Brainrot” with my son
He loved the original — so we rebuilt the core loop as a small Vibe Coding project. Play here for free forever: https://brainrot-factory.fony.de/ What you do: - buy brainrots from a conveyor - fusion brainrots for gold/diamond/rainbow trait - earn passive income - unlock more slots to scale Extras: - items to boost spawn rate - random global events (every 30 min) - in-game chat The fun part: Admin Chaos Mode. 💥 My son had ONE requirement: “I want to be able to troll everyone like in the original game.” So we built a full admin panel: - trigger global events - boost spawn luck for all players - spawn specific brainrots server-wide 👉 Watch the Video attached to see them in action We also created our own brainrots — partly hand-drawn, then refined with AI. This project was mainly built back in july 2025 with Firebase Studio. Would love to hear some honest feedback 🤩

Admin Action in the video after 1 minute 😁

@Morgan Page Haha, if we manage to get some people, my son would love to make an "admin abuse" event, thats how kids know these. Ya Roblox game and its the game with the highest CCU of ALL TIME, beating fortnite and other games with ease. Now some other roblox games got more attention, but they made millions of dollars and some of those roblox game devs are just 16yo. Crazy times to be alive. And its not about brainrot games - brainrot is meme culture of generation Alpha, just like 67 or Skibidi Toilet (coming back to skibidi toilet later, mark my words :D) and Italian Brainrot is mainly AI Slop images and videos with animals combined with whatever you can imagine.
How's everyone's weekend going?
Describe your weekend so far with a GIF (or 2) and maybe a word if you're feeling daring! (Bonus points if it's the name of a game!)

Evergrow – Experimenting with an Infinite Open World Game
Hey there, A while ago I experimented with a game concept that could expand infinitely - basically an open-world builder where the map keeps growing as you explore it. This little prototype is what came out of that idea: 👉 https://evergrow-three.vercel.app/ The core concept is simple: You start with a small piece of land and discover new tiles by expanding outward. Each tile becomes a resource field, and the challenge is to optimize your layout and economy while the world keeps growing. Very rough gameplay loop: • Expand the map by discovering adjacent tiles • Combine identical fields to create stronger production zones • Balance your resource economy (some fields require upkeep) • Upgrade or reroll tiles to optimize your layout The idea was to build a strategy system that could scale endlessly as the world grows. It’s still just a small experimental prototype, but I always liked the core idea. Curious what you think — especially about the infinite map concept.

@Morgan Page Nah no plans on this project as it was just a relaxed vibe coding session and the idea to create an "infinite world" in a game. I am just lacking of ideas. It works a bit like a puzzle game balancing the economy but on the other hand it's way to easy to achieve that and if I add more different field types and complexity overall, the game speed will dramatically reduce. So yeah, if you have any idea where this game should head to, give me a hint :)

Haha I am stupid: Used an auto clicker to get higher score until I realized it's an html file I could easily edit. Just to realize, that I used an auto clicker for a small html clicker someone made as a first game. Well, triggered by idle clicker games. :D Great work, Neon Invader starts very hard, maybe you could add some progression to the difficulty :)

@Wes Spitz Dude you need to chill that game down 🤣 I got to wave 9 just because there is some uber-weapon upgrade that spawns in higher waves. But boy, I am gamer for over 20 years but this game is challenging 😁 Maybe implement some easier waves to start with 😉
My first game built together with my son 🚂
You can try it here:👉 https://nootco.de/trainsimulator About a year ago my son and I built this little train game together. He has loved trains for many years, so it was pretty obvious what theme our first game should have. For me the project was much less about building a “great game” and much more about spending time together and letting him explore how games are actually made. He helped with ideas like: - what upgrades the train should have - how the game should look - and even the soundtrack (generated with Suno using his voice). While we were working on it he learned a lot about how games work, how ideas become features, and how digital things are created. It was a fun way to build some media and tech understanding without it feeling like learning. The game itself is very simple (just HTML, CSS and JavaScript), but the experience of building something together was the best part. Sometimes small projects like this are the best way to get kids curious about technology. 🚂
