👉 Confession: I Work Faster So I Can Go Sew 😂
I was sitting there the other day like… why the heck am I so obsessed with sewing and crochet lately?? 😂🧶 Like… I’ll blink and suddenly it’s been 3 hours and I’ve made a whole thing. So I went down a little rabbit hole (because of course I did)…and turns out… it actually makes sense. 👉 It’s instant progress 👉 No decisions 👉 No overthinking 👉 You can SEE the result right away Basically… the complete opposite of running a business 😅 And now I get it. So I started doing something different… I’m using it as my reward 👀 When I’m working → I stay focused When I’m done → I go sew And I swear… I get MORE done because I’m like: “okay finish this and you can go make something” 😂 Not even kidding… it works so well. Curious… Do you have a “reward” thing you do after work?(or are you also in your sewing/crochet era like me 😏) Let me know 👇 PS… if you wanna see what I’ve been making lately 😏🧶 → Brindleyn Studio

Yes to all of this ☺️ I kind of turned my reward into my job which is fun! Even though I still have to do things that are not quite as creative. But I also love the end of the day when I can grab a sweater to mend, a crochet project to work on or even a hand stitching project to whip in just under an hour. I use these to really unwind and get in the flow. It feeds my soul and brings me peace of mind before bedtime.
🎤 Would you ever speak… just for practice?
This one’s a little different 👀 HobbySchool is always looking for speakers → no deadline → ongoing events throughout the year So instead of applying to ONE event… you’re getting into a pool for future opportunities. 💰 Cost: ✔ Free to apply + speak 👀 My take: This is more: ✔ low-pressure visibility ✔ practice speaking ✔ getting comfortable showing up Not so much: ❌ fast list growth ❌ super strategic collab 👉 Apply here: https://www.hobbyscool.com/speaker 💬 Be honest… would you do something like this just to get reps in?

Wrapped my first ever Summit and got invited to the next one!
For a long time, I wanted to participate in summits but I just didn't know where to begin. I teach crafts and my audience are multi crafters so I didn't seem to really fit in. Then, one day, one person arrived to my community and I asked where she had heard of me. She told me that someone had mentioned me at a creative summit. So I dug it. I found the company and then applied to participate in one of their summits. That person later realized she didn't hear of me at the summit, but she saw one of my ad 🤭 But that had been enough for me to take the big leap, realize I was capable of being a presenter and actually be approved for the next upcoming summit. Now two days ago was day one of the summit and my presentation had a technical glitch that really threw me off to begin with... But it got fixed! Then I received an email, another big summit organizer had heard of me and they asked me if I wanted to participate in their summit. I think that was the biggest ego boost that I ever received in my business. So I said yes. And I applied to another summit later on this year. Because why not! All that to say, summit are so scary when you look at them from the outside. Once you're in, they're exhilarating and they make you feel like you should do many more!

@Viktoria Chervenkova I got about 500 new leads in my email list, perhaps 30 new people in my free community. I don't know how they will convert afterwards though. I'm particularly interested to see if there's a difference in conversion with people that signed up to the summit for free vs people who paid for the VIP option.

Thank you @Julie Butler! Well I'm waiting to hear about the Summit organizer for the next one actually. I asked about their terms and conditions but I have not heard from them since.

Showing Up Without Losing Your Mind 😅
This is how I show up without getting overwhelmed… Not perfectly… not everywhere… just intentionally. Here’s what it looks like for me: • Morning check-in (my own group first) • Post something simple • Reply to comments Then… • Pick 2–3 other groups • Show up on purpose (not scrolling aimlessly) I don’t try to be everywhere anymore. I’ll do: • 1 intentional post a week (based on group rules, vibe, etc.) • Come back later and reply to comments • Engage in a few conversations that actually matter And then I’m out. Once a day. Not all day. Because that “too much” feeling? Yeah… that’s what makes people disappear. This keeps me consistent… without burning out. AND… Let’s be real… A lot of groups allow you to share freebies and offers 👀 But the key? 👉 Share while you’re serving 👉 Be authentic (people can feel it when you’re not) 👉 Actually want to help someone get a result That’s when it works. Not when you drop a link and vanish. ----------------------------- Curious… Are you someone who shows up consistently…or do you hit that “too much” wall and disappear? No judgment either way… I’ve been both 😅 Tell me below 👇

@Julie Butler I agree, although would you feel comfortable leaving a group and then rejoining?

I know you're right @Julie Butler, but I would still feel guilty or not loyal enough. Something I need to work on I guess.
