Steal This Prompt: Author Podcast
Want to see what you would look like as a bestselling author getting invited to exclusive podcast studios? Let's see. (use a photo of you and your book) 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗧👇 Create a polished, photorealistic image of a best-selling author being interviewed in a high-end professional podcast studio about their book. Show the author seated across from a podcast host with professional microphones, warm cinematic lighting, modern studio décor, and recording equipment in the background. The author should look confident, successful, and engaged in the conversation. Include a large TV screen on the wall behind or beside the author. On the screen, prominently display the uploaded book cover along with a short, bold headline based on the book’s topic or the transformation it gives the reader. Use the book title, subtitle, topic, ideal reader, and reader transformation to create a compelling 3–8 word headline instead of simply repeating the book title. Make the author the main focus of the image while still showing enough of the host to clearly communicate that this is a podcast interview. Keep the book cover and TV screen easy to see and make any text large, clean, and readable. The overall image should feel like a candid photo taken during a major podcast appearance and communicate that this author is a trusted authority who was invited on the show to talk about their book. Avoid random logos, fake podcast names, excessive text, distorted hands, duplicate people, or unreadable typography.

More Than Just Publishing
I recently had the opportunity to be a 𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝗱𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁, and it reminded me of something I want every author in this community to understand: your book can create opportunities that go far 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀. When I first started publishing, I was 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀. But over time, publishing has also helped me build authority, grow an audience, teach other authors, create a community, and now get invited into conversations like this. This is why I encourage you to think about your book as 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁. 👉 Your book can be your introduction. 👉 Your credibility. 👉 Your conversation starter. And sometimes, 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 you weren’t previously reaching. I wanted to thank @Robert Redden for inviting me to be on his podcast Walking With The Reddens. I am not able to be on every podcast I get invited to, but Rob has been an active member of this community and he is always spreading positivity. 🙌 I’ll share the podcast below if you’d like to listen. But my challenge for you is this: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂?

🎥 Video Converts Better...
Especially When Someone Else Is Talking About Your Book... Check out this video I just worked with @Anushri Kalyanpur for her book: The Great Galápagos Discovery Think about how you shop on Amazon. You land on a product page, look at the photos, skim the reviews… and then you see a 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁. That video can be what turns you from a browser into a buyer. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘀𝗼 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹? There’s a psychology behind it. A video review can give a potential buyer: - Social proof — Someone else already bought it and found value in it. - Trust — They can see a real person holding the book instead of just images. - Context — They can see the size, interior, illustrations, formatting, or what makes the book different. - Confidence — It helps answer questions that may be keeping someone from clicking Buy Now. And sometimes hearing someone explain who the book is for and why they liked it is far more persuasive than another paragraph of sales copy. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗗𝗣 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀… You can't simply upload your own marketing video directly to your KDP book detail page the same way you upload your cover or description. That’s where 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 can become really helpful. Amazon Influencers who are eligible to upload onsite content can create product review videos featuring books and other products sold on Amazon. Those videos may be displayed by Amazon on product detail pages, giving shoppers another way to discover and evaluate your book. Imagine someone searching for your book and seeing: 📖 Your cover ⭐ Your reviews 🎥 AND a real person flipping through your book and talking about it. That can make your book feel much more tangible. 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸? If you already have a published book and want a video review like the one I shared here, I’m currently offering them for just $50. 👉👉 ORDER A SHOPPABLE VIDEO REVIEW NOW
