Congratulations!!!!!🎉🎉
When clients don't trust you...
Ever feel like some clients just won't let their guard down? You give them the moon... But they still act like you're trying to scam them Double-checking everything. Questioning your methods. Holding back in sessions. And it feels personal. Like they don't trust YOU. Here's the truth: Their trust issues have nothing to do with you. Because the emotional wall they’ve built was standing long before you showed up. Think about it... Your client isn't just "Sarah from Manchester" who needs help with her business. She's Sarah who got burned by three other coaches. Who watched her friend lose money on a fake guru. Who grew up with parents who taught her "everyone's trying to take advantage." People don't distrust YOU - they distrust their past experiences. Your job isn't to break down their walls. Or prove you're different. Or convince them to trust you. Your job is to show up consistently. To deliver what you promise. To be patient while they learn - at their own pace - that not everyone is out to get them. Because trust isn't built by grand gestures. It's built by small moments of reliability. Every time you show up on time. Every promise you keep. Every result you deliver. Eventually, those walls come down. Not because you forced them to... But because you made it safe for them to fall. Remember this next time a client seems sceptical. It's not about you. It's about every person who came before you. And the only way to change their story... Is to give them a better one. Have you experienced this? How did you handle it?

I haven't experienced this however if I encountered this I would first remember not to take it personally. I use the Four Agreements as a reminder of how can I support, and show up without harming those I am coaching. Together we will set up agreements for the process and then check back in to see what is working and where we can improve or pivot if needed. This will help create consistency not only for the client but also for myself. Eventually, the client will break down some of those barriers they had created.
