My First AI Agent: Convert Files to Vector
This is one of the most powerful AI Agents in my limited but growing AI toolbox. I know that I needed a RAG and a vector database - yet had no idea how to achieve this as a non-programmer. This video by @Nate Herk has been invaluable to get my AI journey kicked off, while experiencing meaningful results - and - I am only 30% of the way through the video. Now as I add or modify documents in a designated Google Drive folder, those documents are automatically converted to vectors and stored in Pinecone! If I can share two experiences that may be helpful. Experience One: I literally built the AI Agents illustrated in the video verbatim that @Nate Herk highlights in the video using subject matter that I know like the back of my hand or is readily available to help with the learning curve (user documentation, product knowledge and shipping in my case). The reason it helped is that I was able to recognize my information as it moved through the AI Agent and for debugging. Also, I really liked watching my data come to life as I was learning and building the AI Agent. Using test data and generic data just didn't give me the dopamine hit (LOL). Experience Two: It took me 16 HOURS to get my first AI Agent to work. This included setting up n8n, pinecone, openai, google drive, lovable accounts; and understanding and setting up API credentials. I am not sure if this is typical, but not unusual for my life experience. I may not be the smartest or fastest person in the room, but I have learned that my success has been built on grit, perseverance and sheer wide-eyed, delusional determination. LOL! @Nate Herk video will get you through it, I promise. +++++++++ Hello AIS Community!
