Talking about memories
After years of being fearful to bring up memories regarding my son to my mother I was able to do it today! She used to go into a deep depression and cry whenever I mentioned his name. Eli was her first grandson and she helped me raise him. So she would literally feel like God took her first child at times. But today she went down memory lane and was able to laugh and cherish his memory. I’m excited about our healing journey. Eli forever 17💖

Mental Health Exercises while Grieving
I found some exercises that help me when the effects of grief become overwhelming on my healing journey 1. I stop everything and take in long deep breaths hold it 30seconds then release slowly. 2. I allow myself to cry if I feel the need without feeling shamed. 3. I sit in silence and acknowledge my feelings without feeling the need to suppress them.
