Welcome to the Retreat Builders Skool!
So, you are interested in bringing a retreat or gathering to your community? You have found the right place. We teach others what we have learned in 30 years of hosting retreats and similar gatherings - one hour to several day events. It takes love, openness, compassion, and creativity to fill the need before you. First, thank you. This is not an easy road, but I can promise you, it is well worth the walk. We are here to help you carry the load. You do not need to start from scratch. We are here to share everything we know, so that you can have a smooth journey into the unknown. Take a moment to tell us a little bit about you. Who are you? What do you want to create? Why does it matter to you? What is your biggest challenge right now in launching this idea? We are here to support you and we welcome you into this community! Together, We Flow! Eva + the Retreat Builders Team

@Wendy Prager Wendy, one of the hardest steps is the first one. If you ask any of my former students, they will mention me saying, "set a date." Once you have a date, that puts the ball in motion to start planning. Also, keep the first one manageable. If it is too big, it can also be overwhelming. What would a half day retreat or one-day experience look like?

@Rebecca Lazzelle Rebecca, I love how thoughtful, ethical, and regulated your approach is. Your care for consent, pacing, and nervous system safety really comes through. That is a huge strength. Reading your site and materials, I notice something important that may explain why interest has been slow. Right now the page communicates what happens at the retreat, but not strongly enough what becomes different for the person who attends. When someone is considering a $4K experience, they are subconsciously asking four questions within seconds of landing on the page: 1. Is this for someone like me? 2. Will this actually help my real life? 3. Why should I trust Rebecca? 4. Why should I decide now instead of later? If those answers are not obvious, even a beautiful and well-designed page won’t convert. Here are the biggest opportunities I see: 1) Get more specific about WHO it’s for. Your story makes you perfect for a very particular person: high functioning capable looks fine externally but feels anxious or unsafe internally already tried insight or therapy wants body-based resolution When they read your page, they should feel recognized. Consider adding a section like: This retreat is for you if… • you hold a lot together for others but feel frayed inside • you understand your history but still can’t relax • you want tools that work in real life • you’re tired of managing and ready to feel supported Specific people buy. 2) Clarify outcomes You describe the philosophy beautifully, but buyers want to know: “What will be better in my life afterward?” Spell it out. Examples: • sleep more deeply • less physical tension • fewer mental loops • clearer self-trust • feeling steadier at work and in relationships • knowing what to do on hard days That makes the investment feel real. 3) Bring YOU forward more. Your lived experience with betrayal trauma and nervous system repair is powerful credibility. People trust facilitators who have walked the terrain.
What Step in the Creation Process Are You At?
Hello RetreatBuilders Community, As we design and build out this space for you, it is helpful for us to know where you are in the creation process. Do you have an idea for what you want to bring into the world? Have you tried to execute on your vision? Have you hosted a retreat or gathering and if not, why not, and if so, how did it go? Are you hosting consistent retreats or gathering and if so, what is working and what could use some feedback? Where is your pain point and what is working? Anything else you would like to share? We all start somewhere and for most of us it was an idea, a feeling, a tug that asked you to take the next step. Some of us have been in this space for years and are looking to keep things fresh, fun, meaningful, and/or profitable. Regardless of where you are at, we are all here to support you and your efforts to build community. Thank you in advance for your openness and insights. Together, We Flow. Eva

@Paige Mahoney Keep the forms and logistics easy for this one. One informational email to those who have signed up is enough. Do you have a landing page for the retreat (website)? Have you used google docs? That is helpful for managing the spreadsheets of attendee and interest. Three folks is a great start. Keep posting about it so that there is a reminder for those who thought about it and then got distracted. Also, I am happy to hop on a call with you and talk out anything specific - if that is helpful.
Tell Us About You...
Hello RetreatBuilder! If you have a minute, could you tell us a little about you? Where do you live? What does a typical day in your life look like? What brought you to this Skool? I look forward to supporting you in your efforts to create, build, grow, adapt, or evolve your retreat or community gathering. These kinds of spaces are so important to our collective health and evolution. Thank you for being willing to step into and create safe spaces for connection. Warmly, Eva

@Ali Ruddy Welcome, Ali! I am so excited you are here. If there are every any specific needs you have regarding hosting events that we can brainstorm around, I am happy to help. We have an awesome small tribe in the Pacific NW and also cheers to you for stepping into the space of offering places of connections. It is not easy to take that first step and you have already done it!
