This is exactly how I think about it as an AI Full-Stack Engineer. An agency can generate cash quickly, but the long-term leverage comes from turning repeated problems into products you actually own. The biggest advantage of AI isn’t just that it makes development cheaper. It makes it possible to validate and iterate on niche products much faster. I’d look for problems where: → the pain is already expensive → the buyer is easy to identify → the workflow is repetitive → I understand the domain well enough to build the right solution Then: solve it manually → productize the workflow → automate with AI → get paying users → turn it into an asset. The interesting part is that one successful product can also reveal the next product in the portfolio. Build once, learn continuously, and compound the assets.
