Wanted to share something I've been chewing on that really paints the picture of why I can’t seem to be consistent in anything. Credit to Gene Hart for this. Book is "Sealing the Vessel" by Gene Hart. Any quotes in here are from the book First off, take a look at the pictures I've attached of the jar and the colander. Gene was teaching not only in relation to astral projection, but also in relation to our energy in general. There's a few core pieces here. The first is that Life force energy is always flowing into us from the everlasting Spring. Always. This the Divine Feminine -- always supporting, nourishing. Second core idea: You are a vessel which can hold the waters of this ever-flowing spring. The vessel is our capacity to hold energy. Third piece: What is a leak? "A leak is a place where your attention has been captured and bound, where a film is running and you are absorbed in it." "Tension is a frozen leak. Every chronic clench in the body is attention that flowed out long ago and never came home, light trapped in the muscle like water trapped in ice." I'm a massage therapist, and my oh my does this explain why everyone is so fucking tense. We all have old wounds that never properly healed. It is Divine providence that we are given the grace of this constant flow of Life into us. This is a blessing so rich we cannot remotely fathom it in its fullness. Which is why it pains me so to witness how I squander it. All of us have leaks to varying degrees. (I think this is what some people mean when they talk about having "holes in your aura.") In fact for most of us, our vessels are less like a jar and more like a colander. You have so many holes that despite the infinite cosmic wellspring innervating you, you never feel fully alive. How can that be? Well simply, because it pours out before it ever accumulates in a meaningful amount. Kinda like how in typical breathing a human only uses ~10% of their total lung capacity. We tend to do the bare minimum to get by. We become accustomed to smallness.
