The Goal Isn't Less Stress. The goal is better recovery. Most people assume high performers experience less stress. In reality, many high performers experience more stress, more responsibility and more pressure than the average person. The difference is not the amount of stress they experience. The difference is their ability to recover. Your nervous system was designed to move between periods of activation and recovery. The problem is that many people stay switched on all day. They work. They worry. They scroll. They think. They plan. They never fully recover. Over time, the nervous system begins treating everyday life as a threat. Capacity starts to shrink. Everything feels harder. One of the most powerful questions you can ask yourself is: "Am I giving my nervous system enough opportunities to recover?" ๐Ÿ‘‡ Discussion Question: What is one thing that genuinely helps you feel calm, grounded or recharged?

@Barry Schutte my breakthrough was when I gave myself permission to turn inwards to reflect and ground. It sounds simple, but I find that many of us knows exactly what to do, but to get yourself to a point to take the time out is the challenge.
Carrying the load Alone ?
Many women are not struggling because they lack strength. They are struggling because they have been carrying too much for too long. Careers.Families.Responsibilities.Financialpressure.Information overload. The world celebrates women who can do it all, but rarely talks about the cost. The result often shows up as stress, anxiety, emotional exhaustion, burnout, and feeling disconnected from yourself. The answer is not to push harder. The answer is to build the capacity to lead yourself well under pressure, protect your peace, and create healthy boundaries You were never meant to carry it all alone. @Charmaine Cassidy to choose one thing to lay down this week sounds easier than what it is, especially if you have always been compelled to have control over everything to feel worthy and relevant. Today I choose to focus on only 3 topics and get it done. Not perfect, but done. Too many to do lists creates many open loops in the mind, and that can cause one to spiral. Your Body Knows Before Your Mind Does. Most people wait until they're overwhelmed before they pay attention. But your nervous system usually sends signals long before burnout, exhaustion or anxiety show up. Maybe it's: โ€ข Tight shoulders โ€ข A clenched jaw โ€ข Difficulty sleeping โ€ข Constant fatigue โ€ข Feeling irritable โ€ข Brain fog โ€ข Trouble concentrating These aren't weaknesses. They're messages. Your body is constantly communicating with you. The question is: Are you listening? One of the most important skills you can develop is learning to recognise your nervous system's early warning signs before they become bigger problems. Awareness creates choice. And choice creates change. ๐Ÿ‘‡ Discussion Question: What is the first signal your body usually gives you when you're under pressure?

Our bodies are amazing, if we would just listen! My jaw sends immediate signals, and my shoulders tells me very quickly when I need to slow down and adjust.
