Hosted by event director Durrel Douglas, the roundtable includes: • Emem Washington – our speaker coach • Chris Wright – TEDxThirdWard speaker • Tiffany Yvonne – TEDxThirdWard speaker • Dr. Amber Gunner – TEDxThirdWard speaker Together, we unpack the real journey of stepping onto the TEDx stage: • The pros and cons of the process • Why a TEDx talk isn’t an Easter speech or commencement address • The transformation that happens behind the scenes • How this experience became both a challenge and a reunion This candid, fun, and wisdom-filled conversation is packed with nuggets for anyone curious about the TEDx process — or dreaming of giving a talk themselves. What stood out to you in this discussion? What questions do you have about the process?

This was awesome! I def love the gems dropped about infusing story while focusing on serving the people. Like @Christina Titus I'm curious about the selection process.
Why do you want to give a TEDx talk?
What's your inspiration behind the RED Dot if you're a speaker applicant?

Giving a TEDx talk is an opportunity to leverage a platform much bigger than myself. I believe in the message I have to share and I see it as a collaboration. TEDx desires to share messages and ideas worth sharing with its audience, and I have one of those stories/ideas that need to be heard beyond myself and my platform. I see it as a beautiful partnership were both parties receive and the masses win because the message carries on beyond myself.
