1 contribution to The Gingerbread Studio
Welcome to The Gingerbread Studio!
The Gingerbread Studio is a paid, adult-focused online studio designed for people who want to approach gingerbread as a serious craft — not just a holiday activity. This is a year-long studio experience built around monthly gingerbread projects, each intentionally designed to develop specific skills such as structure, piping control, texture, composition, and storytelling. Over time, members progress from seasonal builds toward competition-ready craftsmanship. The studio is led by an award-winning gingerbread builder with multiple 1st-place finishes in local judged competitions. Instruction is grounded in the techniques, structure, and mindset judges actually look for, while maintaining a calm, supportive, and encouraging studio environment. How the Studio Works - One guided build theme is released each month - Each project includes a clear skill focus and optional stretch challenge - Members build on their own schedule and share progress photos for feedback - Instruction is primarily asynchronous, so you can participate when it fits your life Studio Hours (optional) are offered monthly as live sessions for demonstrations, questions, and critique. Replays are always available. Who This Studio Is For ✔ Adults who enjoy gingerbread as a craft✔ Makers who want to steadily improve their skills✔ Builders curious about competition or judged work✔ People who value structure, clarity, and thoughtful feedback Who This Studio Is Not For ✘ Children’s classes ✘ One-day holiday decorating projects ✘ High-pressure or chaotic environments Looking Ahead While early months focus on skill-building and seasonal creativity, the studio naturally tapers toward competition preparation in late fall for those who wish to participate. Advanced opportunities may be introduced for members seeking deeper critique and challenge. Community Culture The Gingerbread Studio values: - Progress over perfection - Respectful, constructive feedback - Craftsmanship, patience, and curiosity -
