@Allan C I've really only been dabbling in AI for about the last year, mostly with image generation and social media content. Earlier this year, my husband and I started talking about whether there might be a business opportunity in all the things I've been learning. As I've explored Custom GPTs, Gems, Opals, and especially the power of NotebookLM, I've started to see possibilities I hadn't considered before. I think what I was missing was a little nudge in the right direction. Thanks, @AI With Diana! Right now, I'm here to learn alongside everyone else. I'm primarily working in the Google Verse and ChatGPT, and that's where I want to keep my focus for now. I'm trying hard not to chase every shiny new tool that comes along. Will I eventually explore Claude and other platforms? Probably. But most of the people and organizations I work with are already using Google and ChatGPT, so I'd rather go deeper before I go wider.
🎉 I Built My First NotebookLM Knowledge Vault
Name of my Notebook: Board Vault What it will help you with: Turn years of meeting notes, policies, and documents into an AI-powered knowledge base that can answer questions, draft documentation, and keep projects moving. Something I needed desperately! Test prompts I used: - Draft professional meeting minutes using my historical meeting style. - Summarize outstanding action items from the last six months. - Find every mention of a specific topic across all board documents. - What policies apply to this situation? - Create a briefing for a new board member based on our historical documents. (This was fantastic!) Favorite prompt: Act as my expert Systems and Operations Advisor. First, read my "Systems Rules" document to understand my role and organization. Next, review my uploaded rough notes from our latest meeting. Using the structure and formal style found in my historical meeting minutes, draft a clean set of official meeting minutes. Clearly identify motions, votes, action items, and responsible individuals. What I liked about the results:It transformed scattered documents into a searchable institutional memory that can instantly summarize history, answer questions, and produce polished documentation in minutes instead of hours. I loved using Spot because he was able to give me a checklist of resources and my starting prompts! He will definitely come in hand for future Notebooks.

@AI With Diana One thing I liked about the Knowledge Vault was that it even confirmed where some bottlenecks are, it's not me just being picky. I can't wait for more AI assistant helpers. Bring 'em on!
Training Notebook?
One of the projects I've been working on is creating a dedicated NotebookLM knowledge vault from all of the trainings I've taken from a single instructor. Between image generation, video creation, marketing, AI workflows, and automation, I realized I was constantly trying to remember which training covered what. So I started loading everything into one NotebookLM notebook. So far it's about 38 trainings (and growing). The interesting part isn't just having the content in one place. It's being able to ask questions across all of the trainings at once: - "What has [Instructor] taught about creating better prompts?" - "Where do their image-generation strategies overlap with their video workflow training?" - "What concepts show up repeatedly across multiple courses?" It's becoming less of a training library and more of a searchable mentor that helps me connect ideas across courses. Has anyone else built a NotebookLM vault around a specific instructor, topic, or skill set? I'd love to hear how you're organizing it.

@Kelly Clay No! Tell me more!!
Just a little update...
@AI With Diana I am so glad I joined this group. Besides building my Personal Assistant, I have built 5 new gems - my fav right now (don't tell the others) is my Creative Disaster Sidekick (Gem #5) because who doesn't need a sidekick right?! My Personal Assistant gave me a workflow for how to use it with the other 4 Gems that I built. Today I asked my sidekick what it could do because I just wanted to share... "When a project goes entirely off the rails, the signal drops, or your brain feels like forty* open browser tabs, think of me as the field base where we find the map, duct-tape the equipment back together, and sketch out the pivot. I’m ready when you are. Dump the chaos, the messy voice transcript, or the sudden deadline shift right here, and we’ll build the B-plus plan to get it moving. Your 5-minute, low-friction action step: Drop a single sentence or a messy bulleted list of the exact project that is giving you the biggest headache right now." After it gave me that, I just did a complete brain dump using Wispr Flow. It processed the raw inputs to output a clean, prioritized three-step action plan along with five distinct creative campaign ideas. I can't wait to build my week around this tool and make things happen! BTW I am open to names for this little guy! *Just for clarification I only had 23 open at the time.

@Karon Lippincott I have some friends who are also teachers and librarians! What do you find in your school - are there a lot of teachers who are for or against AI or is it a mix? If you don't feel comfortable answering here, I have no problem if you message directly if it doesn't go against the rules.

Coming from teaching and the fire service, I'm curious about using AI agents to simplify workflows, solve everyday problems, and bring ideas to life.
