Choose Yourself First
Some choices look selfish from the outside because people got comfortable with you putting yourself last. That doesn’t make them wrong. Growth gets uncomfortable when it changes what people can expect from you. Choose yourself anyway. ❤️ This is @Tiffany Lee Blake version. 🤣 https://www.skool.com/swearabulary/should-be-on-braoadway?p=ff277b7c

Timing! Literally had this conversation with a friend today… self-care means choosing you, even (possibly more so) when it’s hard. “They” don’t like being told - nor do toddlers. Same same - teaches resilience, emotional regulation etc etc 🤣🤣
live build recap from next door.
we finished a film ad last night. take back my time, built live over three sessions with the client in the room. cta slide, captions, two exports, project file handed over. next it goes live as a real ad with real money behind it, and we read the numbers together. rose was in the room for the whole thing. somewhere in the middle i cloned my fantasy football commissioner from one photo and an audio file. with his permission. he may regret it. she can confirm. clips from the build below. heres how i think about our two rooms: swearlabulary helps you put it into words. onlydans helps you bring it to life. when youre ready to see your words become songs and films, come make one with us here

@Matthew Anderson exactly… much easier than retracing steps.…..when you do that you get more ideas, then you want to change up the order … all in addition to the 42 tabs already open (so I don’t forget to go back and do that thing that may or may not have been important) Nope: - turn it off start again - no perfectionism here! - pretend it never existed - Go about the day Seriously this is exactly what I’ve done - working on it (awareness first right!) 🤦‍♀️🤯
Before And After
A little perspective changes a lot. We spend so much time rushing, overthinking, putting things off, assuming there’ll be another day to deal with it. Maybe the point isn’t to live scared. Maybe it’s to live awake. Pay attention to what matters. Say what matters. Appreciate what’s here while it’s here. ❤️

The past is a memory; you can revisit it, but you cannot change it. The future is only an expectation and can shatter in a heartbeat. The only place life actually exists is here, now—and now is eternal. Allan Watts can be attributed to the guts of that - but do you think I can find the quote!

@Matthew Anderson I don’t think truer words can be spoken
I have a question...
What if finding peace isn't the same thing as being whole? ...the turmoil is gone ...the calm is welcome ...but... (and go....)

To me, peace and wholeness are different things. Peace is the storm passing. Wholeness is being able to see what the storm left behind—the broken glass, the tender places, the good, the bad and the ugly—and recognise that all of it made you who you are today. Wholeness is not returning to who you were before nor is it rebuilding yourself into someone new. It is acceptance. Allowing yourself to hold the grief, anger, tiredness, relief, emptiness and hope without abandoning yourself for feeling any of it. You were never broken. In my mind, wholeness is seeing all you’ve become by being who you are, experiencing what you did….seeing yourself as a whole made up of many parts, each valid. We really can be hard on ourselves - I guess for me I realised even in the worst of times I could still find a place of contentment and letting go meant that I finally stopped cheating on my future with your past. I am who I am I’ve always been whole It just took a while to find peace in that
