The truth behind breath support
Most singers are told to “sing from their stomach.” Honestly, that’s just confusing and wrong. Here’s what actually supports your voice: 👉 Your diaphragm. Your diaphragm is a small, dome-shaped muscle (I call it your little potato 🍠) that sits right under your lungs. When you inhale, it moves downward, creating space for your lungs to fill with air. When you exhale, it moves back up, controlling how the air is released. 💡 That controlled release of air is what gives you real breath support. Not: ❌ sucking in your stomach ❌ pushing your abs ❌ clenching your core Those often create tension, instability, vocal fatigue, but mostly: confusion. 🙃 📣 Super important!!: Your stomach movement is just the reaction of your diaphragm moving, NOT the cause. The real boss? That little potato. Your diaphragm. Curious to learn how to: - actually control your breath? - sing with less tension? - gain power, range & stamina? Join my community to learn the real ins and outs of vocal technique and become the master of your own voice ✨

@Rachel Gl well, basic anatomy (worked in surgery for the last 18yrs). However, for singing….its the boss….good diaphragm then good breath. Then just work on singing
