[Side Project] Authority Launcher - Free DIY MC Authority for Truckers & Brokers
Hey guys -- I am launching a new side project and could use some tester/feedback. Think: TurboTax but for launching your own trucking company or brokerage. It's a step-by-step wizard that will guide you through the process of obtaining your MC#. At the end you will have what you need to launch. There's a free version, go through it and let me know what you all think before I go live: https://www.mymotorcarrier.com

Thank PJ. That's helpful feedback. You are right, and this tool is geared more towards the trucking side and step-by-step guidance. Perhaps more of a blog post or a learning center for that types of guidance. How do you recommend a brokerage establishes credit? Another similar issue is new carrier entrances. No one wants to work with a new MC. How would you tackle that as well?
Mexico to Michigan Intermodel
I have large opportunity out of Puebla, MX to Detroit, MI market for intermodal. I experience with drayage here in the States, but does anyone have insights or experience with the MX side? I need a carrier reference to load and drop at the rail. TIA.
Lane Pricing and % for Owner Ops
Hey LGR squad. I have a dedicated lane I am looking to put some owner ops on. 2-3 times a week round trip from Michigan to Alabama 1,580 miles (all loaded) and it requires a team. This is a little out of my usual lanes. Does anything pricing and % pay to an owner op and his team driver for something like this?

Thanks, Brother. I was planning on running with our MC and an owner operator. I called just the guy that worked for me many years ago. We have something locked in.
Commission Structure
Hey everyone, Can anyone share their sales commission structure for their sales team? Seems like company has their own variation. We have a brokerage and asset, which are all combined to service our customers. Obviously the margins vary depending on how we meet capacity. Anyone want to share their insights?
ATRI 2024 Study Is In
The group’s latest Analysis of the Operational Costs of Trucking survey found that the average cost of operating a truck last year slipped 0.4% versus year-ago levels to $2.260 per mile. That said, when lower fuel costs are excluded, marginal expenses increased 3.6% to $1.779 per mile, a record for non-fuel operating costs, ATRI said. Spot rates on DAT are $2.07 for July...How's everyone holding up in this market? Check out the details attached.

Been in the game for years, it’s made me an animal. There’s rules to this game, I wrote the manual.
