Today we celebrate the last line of defence, the fearless shot-stoppers, the leaders at the back — Happy International Goalkeepers Day! It takes courage, resilience, and a whole lot of grit to stand between the posts. The saves, the dives, the split-second decisions — often unnoticed, but always crucial. Here’s to the keepers who command the box, inspire their teams, and never shy away from the pressure.

Freddie’s team played their old rivals last night (aka half his class who’d been giving it the big one all day saying they were going to win 😂)… safe to say that didn’t age well 😅 A solid 6–0 win 💪⚽️ and Freddie kept a clean sheet 👏 Then in the last minute, us mums (clearly football experts 🤣) convinced him to get involved in a free kick… which he VERY reluctantly did. Instant regret… as he then had to sprint the full length of the pitch to save it 🙈😂 Nothing like a bit of last-minute cardio to finish things off 😅 Moral of the story: always trust the goalie🧤⚽️
