I work mainly with a spindle, not a wheel. For Aso Òkè weaving, strength and control matter more than speed. The spindle lets me create tightly twisted, durable yarns that can handle the tension of narrow-strip looms. It’s a slower process, but that intentional rhythm is part of what gives the fabric its character and longevity.
