Hi everyone - I'm Elyse, mummy to two girls, 7 and 9. I home educated my eldest for about half a term at the end of 2025, but the girls dad is very against home education, so both girls are back in school. My eldest is really struggling - attendance is a big issue. I'm trying to gently teach him (he overwhelms easily!) in the hope that it will be possible for our daughters in the not too distant future. In the meantime, I'm working on building my business so that I'll be in a position to home educate once he understands better that the girls will not turn into uneducated, anti-social little hermits 🤦 Has anyone else bumped into resistance from the other parent? How did you help them understand today's reality of home-ed? I'll be working through Hannah's course in the hope it will give me nuggets to convince him!
