Clue 5+
I have to pause for a while as I need to finish knitting a gift first, but very happy with this sweater so far and really enjoying the process.

Holding yarn in Colourwork
Hi ho 😊 how do you all hold your yarn during the colourwork? Are you knitting continental? I switch between having the yarn separately and picking it up every time and having both on one finger, if the floats are longer, because securing the floats is easier for me that way. However, I struggle a lot with the tension of the dominant yarn, when having both on the hand.

I hold one yarn in each hand. I’m naturally a thrower, but taught myself to also knit continental for colourwork. I always hold the dominant yarn in my left hand and non-dominant in my right.
Random question.
Does anyone here use Knit companion for charts? I do, and I love it for tracking where I am in a project. I work multiple projects at the same time and don’t like paper waste. I am not able to load these designs. It loads parts but not all. So frustrating.

@Caron Lawson you just select the pages you want to add. You click edit; then on the right you click the symbol to add pdf pages and then you select the pdf and when that opens I just click on the page and on the right there is a ✔️ or a x and I click on the relevant page and the ✔️ and it highlights those pages and then I click add selected pages. There is a YouTube video you can watch that may explain it better: search knitCompanion adding extra pages. Hope this helps

@Gina James I’m not sure as I do have the paid version so don’t know if it’s possible in the free version, but I guess you can try and see if it works? I use it a lot and find the additional functions very helpful. You can also do a free trial for a week and see if you find the additional functions useful.

Rediscovered knitting in 2020 and now cannot be without the next project. Love colourwork and top down construction. HATE sewing in ends.
