COLONS
guys tom is my sat and so far im doing good with english punctuations how ever im having a hard time with colons I know that it should have an Independent Clause before and an expanding thought after I what counts as expanding thought I know it should be related to the subject before the colon

im also following the CPIN method in checking answer and there are times where there are colons I always gets past the first step which is checking Independent clauses but I get stumped if I should count what comes after as a expanded thought

guys I watched the punctuation video made by james I thought that semicolon and period does the same thing? so if they are in the same place we can eliminate them since what a semicolon does aside from a semicolon list is it should have an independent clause before and after since and period is the same thing
