The Lesson That Changed Everything for Me
One of the biggest mistakes I made as a writer was waiting until I felt "motivated" to write. Some days I was inspired and could write for hours. Other days, I would jump between ideas, projects, emails, and everything except the manuscript in front of me. What finally helped me was lowering the barrier to getting started. Instead of telling myself I had to write an entire chapter, I would commit to writing for just 15–20 minutes. More often than not, those 20 minutes turned into an hour or more. As authors, we sometimes underestimate the power of small, consistent progress. A book isn't written in one perfect day—it's written through hundreds of small writing sessions that add up over time. I'm curious: what's the biggest ADHD-related challenge you face when it comes to writing or finishing projects?
