Hey friends! On Monday I asked the following questions: 1) What part of your body or energy needs the most care right now? 2) What self-care habit do you wish you could stick to daily? 3) What would a balanced day look like for you? Some of you said your shoulders were tense, your hands or feet were aching from another long day. Some of you mentioned daily movement or healthy eating as your self care habits. And some of us listed what our best work day could look like. It seems so simple! “If I could just do the things then everything will start falling into place”… We all know that life has a funny way of getting in the way of the “things”. The things we let fall by the wayside in the name of productivity, or work, or being tired, or whatever else is taking up all of our time. Did you know that writing down our plans or actions significantly increases the likelihood that you will achieve/ do those things? You’re actually 42% more likely to do said things after you’ve written them down. You're 2-3x more likely complete them if you add a plan with when/ where you’ll do it, and you’re 65-95% more likely to complete it if you share it with someone who can hold you accountable. Think about it, you might be 42% more likely to start just by leaving your comment. You've written it down, you start planning. Next week you're DOING. You deserve a massage, you deserve a healthy lunch, and you deserve a balanced day at work. So write it down! Make a plan. Tell your bestie, or accountability partner. And let’s start doing the things. This week I encourage all of us to try and do one nice thing for ourselves. One thing that would help get you back on track. Start by writing it down.
